Sounds good igg. What was the result? Oh, looks like your gear cables need pulling a little. ;D it came out at 15 bhp and 10 ft. ilbs torque, but Dan said there dyno gives out one of the lowerreadings in the country and said add 11/2 to 2 more bhp not that theb hp bothered me, so could be 16 1/2 to just under 17bhp? I managed to get the carb set very near by myself on the road and there was only a lean spot just as you pull away and in between gear changes, with Dan changed to the next richest neddle setting and this cleared it up. I cant recommend Scooterotica enough very friendly, full of information and very resonable price.I know dyno's are not everyones cup of tea but when youve spent a lot of money on a engine rebuild I wanted to know the air/fuel mixture was correct for piece of mind. The final set up for the Parmakit 130 direct intake 30mm manifold with center plug head, 28mm dellorto VHST with 118 main jet, s40 idle, AQ266 atomiser D37 needle 2nd clip down, with GF project pro race exhaust, with 27/69 gearing with zirri 4th, 4 plate clutch timing at 17 degrees. Im happy just need a bigger petrol tank, god I miss my 17 litre lammy tank but dont miss the lammy itself. Mate,i found the fuel consumption good on this setup which is similar to mine,i run a parma with a 28PHBH.I thought id be filling up evey few miles but its been quite good. You done many miles on the road yet?

Lowest reading dyno in the country? Are you sure? If you add 2hp that makes a true reading? I don't wish to be picky but thats nonsense and if you have been told that its wrong. Ditto. But as Al said glad shes running sweet as a result.

Only done about fifty miles so far. Will be going on first long rideout this weekend, from East Durham to Hemsley North Yorkshire, then onto Scarborough, Whitby, Redcar and then back home around 180 mile round trip. My mates in the club will all be carrying petrol cans if anyone runs out. Will find out Sunday what the fuel consumption is really like on a long run.As long as I can get 45ish miles per gallon hopefully? Thanks for the info about yours.

Dont forget to change the atomiser tube where the atomiser fits into, as it is a four stroke atomiser tube on a new VHST carb, Pm tuning to a converter so you can use AQ atomisers, luckily I asked the question when I bought it in person at Pm tuning.

not knowing much about dynos myself, why is he revving it hard with the clutch in? Quite correct in bringing that up mate.. no need to do that and not nice to the motor. I think a better extraction system is needed here as if a gas mask is needed and therefore breathing that burnt gases in, so is the motor. Did the dyno place not have a blower fan btw?

Sounds nice and I like that exhaust plenty of ground clearance I am ;D or will be when I've sorted out a few little niggles - clutch is dragging slightly etc. Yeah the exhaust is good, got it off dayle1991, cleaned it up and sprayed it with black exhaust gloss. Everyone said it'd be really loud compared to the Polini snail and a pig to fit, but it went on so easily compared to the snail and is quieter if anything. Much nicer sound too. Just got to watch not to kick the muffler!

What, you left the camera unattended and no one pinched it? Engine sounds good but I would lower the tick over a bit.

What, you left the camera unattended and no one pinched it? Engine sounds good but I would lower the tick over a bit. Yeah.... basically, the clutch is dragging slightly, so if I lower the tick over to a good level when it's not in gear it struggles in first even with the clutch pulled fully. So to get it running I had to set the idle a little high. Did you notice the idle note is lower when I first start it than when I pull over at the end of the video? Why could that be? Is that normal? It's on a 98 jet and running ok but that seems high to me (how common is a 98 jet in a smallie??), and it's still running ok/lean. Care to rate my plug?As for my camera, I was taking a risk but I could have chased any bugger down that tried to nick it...!

I have an 8 plug here, going to try it tomorrow. Might enable me to drop the jet down a bit too.
