WENT UP TO ARMANDOS OPEN DAY EARLIER. SEEN A YOUNG LAD ON A TATTY BUT ORIGINAL SS90 ON 'L' PLATES. SO I GOES UP TO HIM AND GET TALKING TO HIM AND HIS DAD.....THE SCOOTER WAS OWNED BY A MATE OF HIS DAD FROM WORK AND HAD BEEN STORED UNDER A PLASTIC SHEET IN THE GARDEN SINCE THE 70's. I END UP ASKING THE OBVIOUS...'HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY?'....YOUNG LAD LOOKS STRAIGHT AT ME AND SAYS, '150 QUID'.
JAMMY LITTLE BASTARD.!!!!

why is everyone hung up on the 90ss? ,has every one who wants one, ever ridden one?I found mine uncomfortable ,I much prefered the prim riding position for road use without the slightly drop bars and the dummy tank . I sold mine to Norrie and it became LC1. Not one of the ones I wish I had never sold.Difficult to choose the one I wish I had never sold but it probably comes to one of these ,a 90 racer I bought in 73 for £154 new, a red prim bought in 76 secondhand with 11 miles on the clock for £150 or a new ETS in 87 for £775. On balance the stock prim wins.

i have two as a few of you know. i also have an et3. You are definately right about the comfort, but then again the 90ss wasnt designed for comfort was it. What I do know that when the sun is out and I walk to the garage, I dont take the Et3 out for a blast.. ;D

if it were about comfort then i'd stick to driving cars instead of doing an unfeasable amount of miles on a wobbly piece of italian crap every week ;D

Lucky bugger indeed, yeah while the SS90 is truly wonderful- my favorite smallie is the humble primmy, I've always wanted one. Sounds a bit limp wristed and Tony will probably give me stick ;D but I'd be too afraid of going on the queens highways and byways given what they're worth
