hmmmmm I know a couple of people with rear disc conversions. Neither of them has anything good to say about them... To be fair, the rear drum on a vespa doesn't really struggle...

Hmmm... a lot of work to fix a non-existent problem.
Is it German, by any chance?

That said, gentlemen, how f&%£ing cool would one of those wheels look attached to the back of your scoot? ;D Be even cooler if you could get a matching pair...

Well, is an italian prototype made by a member of et3.it for his racer. Not for sale I'm afraid. It does look cool though. ;D

Has he used it yet or is it still in developement? It looks as though the caliper mount would probably shear off if he appled pressure to the pads! If his built up welds didnt shear there would at the very least be some pretty bad vibrations through it as most calipers are normally mounted or rather fixed much more in-line with the actual braking surface. I cant see the point either really apart from the "for the hell of it" point of view.
These Italians are indeed Crazeeeee!!!

Well he aint worried about weight thats for sure.. but I quite like it! I also wonder about the euro trend of bracing the frame like that. I hate it. Looks crap imo. Why do they do it? Do they race cart tracks like the Germans and French? If so you will not generate the forces high enough to flex a frame that much. Stoffi said last year" i've never really cornered a bike in third gear, let alone 4th" after he realised that us lot were taking coppice flat in top.

Yeah, I think they use small tracks. ;D

These are twist/go but the track is the same.

And tracks like that are what zips excel on. I wouldnt get out of second on that. Which takes us back.. why all the bracing.. another NO NEED! ;D Just a 4 or 5mm mild steel bar in leghield trim and at most some seem weld or braise on center section on chassis.
