What exactly do you guys use your scoots for? The reason I ask is that i love riding my 90 but all it will do is 50mph if i'm lucky. I would consider using her for going to rally's etc but as i'm out in the sticks any large rally is usually at least a 300 mile round trip. Now much as i love riding my smally she is far too slow for modern traffic. I would love to stick a bigger 125 engine in her but they seem bloody hard to come by anywhere near me! Then theres the carb set up, kit set up etc and as i don't know any one near to help i'll have to do all spannering on me tod or with help of 1 other club member ???So does anyone use theirs for long distance? What set up is practical for longer runs? Any input is appreciated. I have thought of funding any possible parts by the sale of my Dragster which is immaculate and 172'd etc but it just sits in the garage whilst i use my px or smally. How much do you think it would be worth? 51 plate ,standard red colours, great nick, 172, 25mm carb, upgear, scorpion, reliable and fast. Cheers, Smithy.

No idea on the Drag but they seem to go pretty cheaply. Nice scoots though, one of the few auto's I'd actually own.
Ref your 90, to make it usable get a DR or Polini, sports pipe, 19/19 carb (can't remember if you've already done that) and a 4 speed 'box. Having said that realistically I'd use a P2 for distance work if you're loaded and 2 up.

Mine is currently a garden ornament.
I will hopefully be able to choose the option below in a couple of months' time!

Cheers Juan, she has a Leo vinci pipe and 100 top end courtesy of your goodself if i remember and standard 16 carb. I've not done any internal fiddling on the smallframe engine, how easy is it to convert to a 4 speed box? How much? I've split my p2 engine and kitted with a polini 208 so i'm not completely useless just not very confident. Was thinking about trying to source a pk125 engine an poping it straight in and changing 6v loom but will need to sell a scoot first. ps Your right about using the PX for distance but she just doesnt look as cool as my smally or handle as well either but she does always get me there and back everytime.

Need a 'practicing wheelies in carparks' catagory... ;D
I've gone abroad on my primmy quite happily, the only important factors to me for long distance riding is 1. can it do over 60mph for when i'm cold and wet and dying for a hot shower? and 2. how comfy is the seat?

Well once the ETS is finished it will take over from my lammy which I'm having to use as a hack, I don't mind really and the SX is reliable enough, however dodgy drivers and shit weather does take it out of the old girl and I hate having to stick my arm out to indicate at 50mph +
