Its a pretty solid body and I did have both running at one point - not so well though - looked as though someone had used the thinnest wire on the planet for the electrics. But check the below pic. The bike fell of a small platform - about 8 inches - and now the the panels dont line up at the back. Any suggestions for a possible way to fix this, is it a professional job or a cutdown?

That, combined with the diagonal crease behind the front mudguard would say fucked to me. the panles at the rear are all part of the monococque frame, which means it's definately been twisted. Your best bet is to speak to the fella at vespaframejig.piczo.com (or whateverthehellitis) to see if it can be repaired. Sorry

I was trying some new mods / looks for it. Feel it takes away from the Italian'ness of it. And it wouldnt fit back in the frame this way.

Thats not good. There is a crease behind the mudguard. But the bike seems straight. The front of the panels line up ok, the legshields are ok across, from the rear the panels sit at the same hieght. The back left is crushed in a bit, which you cant see from the photos, looks as though it has been pushed back a bit too. But the crease at the front is worrying.

It's possible the diagonal crease happened when the back got pushed in.

I cant see that happening. The bike fell of a raised area of about 8 inches in high winds. I got the impression the panel has been pushed in and back. How can I tell if the frame is twisted, any further bits I can look at? I'm about to strip this thing and hand off to a body guy - dont want to be wasting precious dosh and time on it.

To me, it looks like it has been squashed from the front right to the back left, have you had it wedged somewhere??
the whole back panel looks like it is wider than the other side and the front muddy looks a bit flared too..
I would say its been squashed between the front forks turned on an angle and a wall or something, not dropped from 8inchs... you sure it wasn't like this when you got it mate???
;D

Whats the forks like? have you checked to see if they're true? the crease below the horncast is a pretty good indicator of a buggered frame, sorry chap
