Had a ride on et3 before stripping it down, to slow in my opinion, my other bike is an RB, obviously there is going to be a massive difference but i think it is to slow to ride round on. i would like suggestions for a kit as cheap as poss and or maybe tuning, would the crank, clutch ,bearings carb and pipe need changing or are they strong enough for a sensible kit and or tune , sorry to be so vague but not clued up on small frames hense the questions .

You could tune the standard barrel to be as quick as the RB but thats a lot of work. The easiest and cheapest is the Parmakit i rekon.Even a slightly tuned Polini or Malossi kit would make a difference. There are a lot of new kits around for smallframes but some require a lot of work and expensive clutches to work.I run a Parmakit and think it ace!! Quite a few on here run one and you will have TS1 performance in a smallframe.

Lammy peformance, Lammy money.
As Soosh has said either the Parmakit's or Quattrini M1 series are more than adequate for the road. You can get more by going Falc but realistically they're probably too daft.
Depends on what you want. If you want it to remain standard looking then use a Polini 130 on the rotary valve running through a 24 carb and the standard pipe which admittedly won't give a huge increase. If that isn't enough then you'll need to rethink.
I think most of us on here will agree that the standard clutch set-up is the limiting factor and stumbling block. It can be overcome but factor for that being around £400 alone.

a quick and cheap 'boost' to your current motor.. raise trans to 120 with a packer and dont worry bout ex height. Squish to 1mm(as long as your head has a squish band of sorts). This setup will work with the standard pipe and carb tho a small drilling may be required to float valve.

Hi mate. If you are serious then look at the current kits out there. Parma is ok , tho small transfers. The quattrini m1L looks a fair choice. Falc the ultimate imo. You'll need to look at the whole engine if you buy one of these hi-end kits though.

I would probably go for either a Polini or Malossi kit, I'm using a second hand DR barrel on mine which isn't going to set the world on fire but with give a handy increase in power. If you're up for spending TSI cash then as Juan and Soosh have said, M1 or Parma is the way to go

get yourself a decent piston and tune the barrell, i looked into this but as my barrel was pre primmy the transfers were very small and didnt have the 3rd port, the piston i was gonna use was the cr125 57mm gp item from wiseco, that way you can top and tail the barrel to get the port timings you want, the wiseco is about £100 but im sure there are some pattern honda ones for about £40, the crank can be cut for desired inlet timing, but as soosh said the parma is cheapish and doesnt need too much work, im using one which has been mildly ported, standard priimy crank, simonnini d&f and a 30mm tmx

Thanks for the ideas on tuning, johny snatch sniffer you say with your parma you get a decent return of speed, any idea what the bhp is mate and does it have much torque, also is the standerd clutch okey, or do you uprate or band them, also bearings.

its not on the road yet but adspeed on here has one as do a couple of others, you get about 16hp bolt on and matching, 30mm carb and decent pipe which on something light should be fun

Hi Mark,my Parma kicks out 19hp at the mo but each dyno will read different anyway but im using a PHBH28 and static timing at 19 degrees,a more modern carb and better ignition system will be better. As for the clutch,im using a 4 plate with a Polini spring. It has had a bit of porting done on it so goes a little bit better than out of the box but im sure just standard they go well.I love mine and have a silly smile every time i ride it,My TS1 now has a dust sheet over it ;D It still has a bit of usable torque (cant remember the figure) but you will need a 48t 4th gear.As for top speed, with 27-69 primaries,i rekon 75-80 mph.But i know there is more to come....its just feeling safe on the thing

The kit is around £300,you can just bolt it on but as Adspeeds was so good on the dyno shootout,i used the same port timing so there is that to account for if you want.I used a Mazzucheli ETS crank which was around £70 i think,i used a standard ignition system but a parmakit system is about £250 i think, the best exhaust is the hammerzombie but a genuine one is about £300 but you can get copies, then there is the carb,28-30mm whatever they are new.Not cheap but all worth it.If youneedmore help, drop us a PM. cheers soosh, sounds about right any more and it would be a tadd dodgy i think, any idea on a rough overall price to convert a standard et3 into a parma engine . I ended up dropping $2000 on my motor. The Parma jug was $600, Parma ignition was $350, Mikuni TMX, Zirri 4th, and a complete rebuild. The only problem Im currently having is shite 4-plate clutch that slips...

Try the PK clutch with 6 springs, should work better and its not to expensive.
