Took a bit of a gamble and brought a non-runner off scootertrader, you know what this means, more stupid question from me (that's me, Rob) and requests for people to search their spare parts catalogues for the odd bits and bobs ;D 6 hour round trip, Friday night traffic Serious oil leak from the rear hub, but any ideas on the exhaust ;D Just going to try and give it a bit of a tidy up and get the engine going

Doesn't look too bad that barring cosmetics.
I'd guess the pipe is a Polini but it could possibly be a Shaft or Simonini. I'm sure you'll find some ID once you clean it up.

i know you couldnt resist geting a pk rob. they are deffo goin up in the ranks.
i had a exhaust similar to that when i first got my pk it was made by proma and was probally a polini copy they make the scoot sound quite nice i must say. well better than a peashooter.

Nice rustoration job there Rob. ;D
Exhaust could be a polini or shaft (like Juan said), proma (like Will said), giannelli (like breezer said) or a sito (they made some like that years ago). ;D

I say that's not a bad purchase rob, quite a complete project. What are your plans gonna be, doing something with the rusty bits will greatly prolong your investment! Btw i'll give you 20p to tell 'em you found a gianelli stamp

Going to try and tidy up it up with the bodywork, and just do a mild upgrade engine wise, DR kit, upgear, carb. Don't think i need a new exhaust. Going to split the casing and have a look, One reason for the oil leak is that the rear hub nut is not even finger tight, same with every nut. It's been apart then just put back together to be sold as non-runner.
Frame does look pretty clean and tidy.
Going to keep the seat Nik, you still got that upgear kit?

That pipe'll be fine with a clean and a paint but I'd want to rig up a tailcan on it. It'll be loud otherwise. ;D
