Nick I've just won a p2 engine on ebay and am gonna have a crack at this on the primmy. I reckon it's just a case of chopping a couple an inch off the engine mount and reworking the corresponding side panel. Sorry smallie chaps but i need the reliability...

April fools ;D anyone putting or wanting to put a crap lardy engine in a smallframe needs a damn good talking to! Of course if they dont mind the constant shoulder ache and well lets face it, turning right is so easy with a p2 lump installed and you dont mind the sore right leg from holding the thing upright at junctions then great!

I was shocked as we know a good 135 tune up would kick any standard p200s bottom ;D

sorry folks but im not a mono brand or mono model scooter owner infact if it has an engine then i will want to play with it so forgive me as i hope to sin ;D i'm with you mate. I don't see why people would want to stick a p2 lump in a smallie, but it's their scooter, and their money so they shoud be allowed to do wathever they want. Some would say I have ruiend my 90 racer, i think I have made it better...

so why do people do them then? Because they're wrong. There's 2 ways of doing it, the right way and the wrong way. Although both are wrong in my eyes. You want to do it the "right" way then talk to Chopper / Wayne.

I've ridden several conversions. They are crap. They handle crap and the p2 lump doesnt lend itself well to tuning. They are so out of balance its untrue. The bike just keeps falling to the right. I actually think the large frame motor is a hideous design. P ranges dont handle anywhere near a smallframe and thats with the longer wider chassis.. so now think about transfering that one sided lump (not you ben! into a smallframe..crazy.

i agree tony. when on my pk i feel i can get it right in to the corner and take it quicker. but when on my px i feel that its really heavy and like a slug.

Ahhh this is all good to hear! My ET3 (that i have never ridden) is about 2 weeks away from completion and i had no idea how it would handle compared to my PX200 With biturbos, all new engine mounts (clauss studios) and bearings .... i am hoping it lives up to my (new) expectations!! Thanks for the good news
