I'm totally redoing my 100 sport. I got the bike minus an engine. I then ended up with a Primavera basket case, and I'm building the 100 sport with the Primavera motor fully FALC kitted. I'm trying to post pics for the first time, so I hope this works. Here's the frame, cylinder kit & carb (Dell'orto VHSB37), and the rebuilt fork. I'm hoping to make a big order for the rest of the FALC stuff, and another order from SIP for the rest of the parts to finish the rebuild. Some more bodywork and it will be off to paint, color to match my Lotus Elise (chrome orange).

Hi Keith & welcome.
I'm building a Falc engine too, but I think yours will probably run before mine does!

Hi Keith & welcome. I'm building a Falc engine too, but I think yours will probably run before mine does! That's quite an assumption. I certainly intend on buying the parts soon, But like many projects, this has taken me quite some time to make it to this point. Keith

Well, my last project didn't make it to any point- it ended up on Scooter Trader... The idea this time, is that I spend so much on bits it'll be easier to finish it than bail out!

I'm still not sure that spending a lot of money is any guarantee I'll finish any project.
My 67 Morris Cooper S is getting there, but going on 5 years of a project!

Here's some more pics. Pictures are always good. Here is the carb cutout, headset, and motor cases: I've been having all parts not painted powdercoated black. That's why the headlight ring is so shiny black.

You going to use a Falc clutch? I'm avoiding eye contact with the issue, hoping there'll be something cheaper by the time I need one (probably in denial)... £300?

You going to use a Falc clutch? I'm avoiding eye contact with the issue, hoping there'll be something cheaper by the time I need one (probably in denial)... £300? Yeah, I'm going to do the full deal. I just sent some emails back and forth, and it looks like I'm going to get the crank, clutch, exhaust, and ignition (including his CNC'd aluminum fan deal) from Lauro directly. I'll be running a Zirri short 4th from SIP, but otherwise am wondering what other engine internals will be needed? The FALC crank comes with bigger bearings and seals, so I have that covered. I'm pretty ignorant about gearing, and not knowing much about the power curve of these motors doesn't help either. Do I need other gearing changes besides the short 4th? I'm intending this as a road bike. I won't need huge top speeds, and I won't be competing in sprints. I just want it to pull hard in all gears. Keith

My understanding of the Falc ignition is that it's a total lose system meaning it's no use for a road bike, no lights etc. Maybe the Vespatronic would suit your needs?

The project is looking good and way better than mine at the moment. Also, did that frame have an exhaust side door that has now been welded in place?

Looking good so far - are you going to do the 154ish cc verision of the FALC?
Any pictures you can get of the machine work needed for the kit would be great as well - i've been following some other FALC projects and am ust trying to see how much i'll have to drop on machine work if I pull the trigger.

I'll keep everyone updated with progress. For info, Lauro has been very responsive and helpful via email, even in English. His ignition does not support lights, but he offers his CNC machined fan for the Vespatronic or Parmakit ignitions as well as for his own ignition. I'm doing cylinder kit #12, which is the 144 CC engine. Keith

Hey Falc Bro .....Nice to see more of these mental bast's are being built.... After having my engine in bits for about the 4th or 5th time ( for some reasons im keeping Damn quiet ) Ive used Falc crank clutch bearings etc .....Not that i had the money ,,,purely because i know there tried and tested again and again ,and total quality .. Ive got mine apart so as to fit my knew Zirri Box and had the crank case welded due to the devcon blowing out the other weekend and drinking all the gearbox oil ..... 37 mm dellorto .. i like the sound if that ...Im hopeing to go up to something like that just to see if it makes that much of difference... Look foreward to seeing it Done

No fella not the gasket ....Where my casing has been machined to allow bigger Falc crank ,it broke through to the gearbox , so the hole was devcon'd but wasnt strong enough ,,,,, it will be sorted now ive had it TIG welded and ive ground it down and will be back together Saturday ......ACE
