my Vespa PK, it has been butchered I'm afraid and no older pics as i have only been made aware of this site since 'the issue' of scootering. all was going so very well until last week and the accelorator cable snapped. fingers crossed, i will fix this tonight (beer permitting). currently DR110, 19MM carb and a right hand under exhaust which has been altered to fit spare wheel side - thought it would a little better. i had cut and rewelded an inlet manifold to allow for external breathing but once bolted on, i could nt for the life of work out how to reverse the pulling action on the old-tired Dellorto, any ideas? am considering a new cylinder kit but have not yet made up my mind, again any ideas?

The 19/19 carb is fine where is supposed to be mate. As for new kit, the list is endless...almost. How much you want to spend? Do you want reliability, torque, speed...etc?

madmax, bolt on speed really. i dont have the funds to go overboard (these new super-kits which are cropping up). was considering polini110 and looking at gearing. i understand anyhting over this will require new crank, clutch etc.

Ok then, polini 110 kit (casings matched to barrel), mazzucchelli race crank 20/20, 24/72 primaries and 19/19 carb. That should do. ;D

I'd go with 24/72 (3.00) gearing first and a Polini square section clutch spring to see how you get on. The DR should go quite well if the casings are done properly and the kit itself is in decent nick.
If you're going as far as replacing the crank then you might as well convert it to a 130 for all the difference in price IMHO.
