I’m not really impressed with the use of cookies etc on the web, I recently decorated a relatives house that Alexa bitch had obviously been listening in to the chat as after I had finished the job I started getting adds for decorating materials ( paint etc ) that he’d already been used
With my mobile after I buy something from evilbay I get adds for items I have already bought from someone else, These people paying for these adds are generally wasting their time but then also need to increase the price of what they are selling in order to recoup the cost of the adds,
I’m just a little peeved at my mobile being filled with rubbish that serves no purpose

When I'm not breaking scooters I work for the company that designs the chips in them Alexa bitches... despite all the scare stories I can confirm that it's impossible for her to listen in on any chats – the chip inside simply isn't powerful enough to pick out any words except for "Alexa" (called 'keyword spotting'). But yes anything you search on Google or ebay will influence the ads you get served across the web. It's called 'ad personalisation'. What browser do you use? It's quite easy to disable if you use Chrome: support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en-GB

i find it all pretty invasive to be honest .my 1st job with any new computer or phone is to disable gps/mich/camera/wi-fi/etc .but the cookies still get through in any search history . reminds of the guy on here i think it was ,was complaining on the contents of the pop-up adverts ,an asked admin to sort it out .was politely told by admin theres nothing they could do ,an that ad content was based on his personal search history content .he never did actually say what ads were ,i'm still curious ,an still giggling at the memory .H
