Afternoon Forum,
Isn't it great when you need help and advice and you put out that Olive Branch!
So am after piston measurements and place a requst on that book of Faces.
My go to guy on the South Coast, never ceases to amaze me with help and advice.
A PM on here to a member on here, and the offer of a damaged piston to be sent to me is made.
Daz is delighted with the offer and this in turn puts him into a reflective and not a lyrical frame of mind
So the last of the big posters is putting out a big thank you for all the people who share information of all sorts. Good or bad irrespective.
Taking the time to share share and keep sharing, because our passion for the small ones can be a minefield on times.
Thank you all and that elder generation who could also be Papa Smurfs in another world.

good to know youve got a piston coming ,its always amazed me the help an often free gifts that are exchanged on here .an the free sharing of hard won knowledge an techniques too .ive always viewed it as passing on a debt i owe ,i owe the old boys who encouraged me ,lent me tools an took time to teach me stuff.well they arent around anymore to be paid back ,so i pass the "debt" on ,sort off ,when i can.
an its always fun to get asked stuff ,get to fire up the puter an go on the hunt ,an whilst looking for other stuff see many treasures .dreams get dreamed ,plans get hatched ,an i beggar myself in my imagination .H

I’ve been on here less time than many but never had anything but great advice and all the members I’ve met in person have been really great in the flesh - notwithstanding they all have an unhealthy obsession with small Italian shopping scooters and trying to make them go at stupidly dangerous speeds for 10 inch wheels….

i enjoy helping out and sending stuff to people and trying to steer people away from my mistakes of whic woulg fil this whole forum, this psychopathic shit has been going on since way back when in days of fuck i cant remember, i was told of a smallframe forum on scooterboyworld that dave from the widdas had started, so a big thanks to dave (juan) for this
great site, shame alot of have gone to the wankface everything smallframe where there ane more numptys asking really stupid questions and some even more stupid answers
dont get on here as much as i used to but i hope to change that, with stupid questions and answers
there have been a few wankers on here but they never last that long, i remember one tho and this will make you larf
one fella was offering engine rebuilds for money on here and ebay, he asked a question that totally made him a complete cunt, especially since he was rebuilding for peoples hard earnt pennies
it was something along the lines of, i ordered a new piston for the barrel on said motor but when it came it was a little bit loose in the barrel (i cant remember the size but lets asume a v90) so when it was measured properly the piston was 47mm but the barrel was on 1st overbore at 47.2mm, so would it be ok to just order some 47.2mm piston rings and fit them to the to the 47mm piston and use it like that
he got told lol

there is a finer tuned "bullshit numpty" radar on here ,so no-marks get weeded out pretty quick .i was a relatively late-comer to here compared to some ,long time guest lurker deal.a general internet avoidance an forum aversion from early experiences attitude ,an a old skool attitude made me cautious.
but finding here an a few other similar groups brought me out my 20th century shell an into the modern world ,an i'm grateful for it .met some top people through here ,some in real life an some regretably only in cyberspace .but either way i'm glad to be a part of this community .
enough of the feel good crap, i missed johnnys 47mm/47.2 piston thing ,or have forgotten it .do remember the great "ben the binman" lynching of i think 2016 ,buying cheap on here then trying to sell at top dollar ,also on here .his defence of "thats nothing the week before i got my mates scoot for pennies n made hundreds on it " wasnt the best tactic .H

you came in person to get stuff to me henri, thats what i call service, tony obrien done the same as has nik (worb 225) im always happy to give stuff away, but then when you see people then selling the the said item on here or ebay etc, that in my view as you say henri is taking the fucking piss big time and i have no time for those wankers
i used to have an engineer who done the gasket face milling to get rid of the silly gasket face to make the trannies bigger, he done it for 20 quid or so which was a result, so a
few people on here sent me cases to get it done, i think i had about 6 at one point lol
got an xl2 clutch cover for 20 quid from jake that used to frequent the forum, and it was a try before you buy deal, as i was using a short arm clutch cover with strong springs in the hartz, he convinced me the xl2 item was the way to go and it surely was
