the guy who wants the m200 built ,also wants to be able to stop ,so you open box A crimaz2 001 by henri briggs, on Flickr . add in contents of box B ,the link internals ,some braided line an a crimaz master cylinder crimaz 001 by henri briggs, on Flickr . an a half hour later you have one of these ,a disc brake set up that fits straight onto v range/primmy/pk 50 forks crimaz 001 by henri briggs, on Flickr . the master cylinder just bolts up under the headset an only alteration needed is to enlarge brake cable hole in fork leg to accept a braided hydraulic line .not cheap i'll say ,but pretty plug n play like ive found all of crimaz stuff .H

That's a nice way to do it, My modified XL2 set up took a lot of work the fun of modifying pk125 forks to take a px disc is in the getting top mount plate offset right an then getting a muddy that fits ,can be a bit fiddly .with this set up its a straight swap ,tho either a crimaz anti-dive kit or uprated front shocks really required aswell .H

as boreham an ive said its pretty simple to fit ,there is one trick on building the links up . calipers a push fit onto 2 dowels so its floating ,so you need to fit it onto the disc .then push it onto dowels ,then fit hub loosely an only then fit the 5 allen screws and spacers that fix the disc to the hub ,with a dab of loctite on them for peace of mind.H

if you compare to other options its not that much more ,say a 2nd hand pk fork leg are around £100 nowadays and hard to find .2nd hand px carrier £50 ,px hub £50 ,probably needing bearings an seals doing £25 . a px caliper £50 ,offset top mount £15 ,new shock £60 ,thats £350 to start with . a crimaz master cylinder is around £130 ,or a px one an alter a headset £50 +work/labour ,the typhoon master cylinder which is used are £80 on there own an then make a bracket up.add in 2 unions £10 each ,decent union bolts another £10 each an some braided hose £12 .so your around the 500 mark an still needing to find or make a mudguard that will fit . or a 2nd hand et/lx fork set up about 50-60 on ebay ,alter it ,new shock/caliper/etc £100 ,ugly wheel £30 ,nicer looking but 11" wheel 40-50 ,nicest looking 10" zip sp wheel 200-250 if you can find one ,or new polini sp rim £600 alone .m/cylinder to find ,mudguard to find etc all adds up . an all that can get more expensive if you decide to go stage6 carrier £125 ,4 pot caliper from aliexpress £30-35 ,an as carrier doesnt have a speedo drive GPS speedo ,£45 + . there isnt really a cheap option to convert to disc .H

Your logic makes sense, It could be that when we get bits in dribs and drabs we don't include all the extra costs

Just catching up on posts …
Sort of neat that the calliper mounts on the inside of the disc….does that reduce the braking force much?

Am I right in guessing it’s pk only and not suitable for a v range fork leg

Am I right in guessing it’s pk only and not suitable for a v range fork leg its for a v range fork leg ,so v/primmy/SS/pk50 it fits , only differences i can tell is in the spacers supplied with m/cylinder bracket to suit the different headsets ,an different brake levers for same reason.H
