So today's job was to simply renew the clutch plates and fit a different clutch pressure plate.
then I accidentally dropped an m6 nut into the engine case. Bugger and darn it.
i have a Hartz 4 on order the plan was to fit this during the winter, now I need to strip the engine to get the nut out so it looks like I'm fitting the Hartz sooner than expected.
the one consolation is that I saw the nut drop in

Yes mate Those endoscopes are useful, I have one myself But on this occasion it was not much help.
It's not a major problem, It just means the winter job gets done during The riding weather

I can confirm that socks for a three year old are spot of for covering inlets and carbs left if the frame. However - crusty socks found under teenaged boys beds should be avoided at all costs π

henriYes mate we've all had this or similar things happen. Especially us older geezers who've had enough time for this to happen. It's just luck that I saw the blighter disappear , going click click click As it dropped down into the gearbox. So now it's just get ready for the engine strip Might as well do it today as the weather is nice ( I always prefer to work in the sunshine )

So engine out and all ready for dismantling,
Then I find the problem with reliable engines is that if you Don't need to take the lump apart for a couple of years It gives the pixies in the garage time to hide the flywheel puller
If it was not one of these newer type of flywheels I could have used either one of my Piaggio pullers or the one for the yam.
So all the spanners and sockets go back in the play pen While I awaite the arrival of a new puller
An interesting weekend up to now

Haha - yep after two months working on our house I struggled to find my way around the workshop this weekend.....
Ended up a very productive weekend though tbh π
Stripped and rebuilt a motor yesterday.
Spent four hours today tidying up some awful wiring and getting some meters wired up.
