Sip scooters do not respond when things are wrong, have two major issues with expensive stuff just purchased ,( 12v vape kit and exhaust )no response at all. won't use them again as long as i got a hole in my arse. also they took 4 days to pick stuff that's in stock. not a good service at all. and these don"t fit my bike despite their listing it. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Hi, been ordering hundreds of parts for years, never had a problem, always my first go to for orders, followed by SCK who are a bit faster, have you tried the UK phone line, always had a quick response from them. Shame you had a bad experience

Quite a few members here have said the same thing over the years, If the problem is the least bit difficult they become an absolute shower to deal with
From my own experience if you ask them for info like what goes with what kit you get a load of bull or no answer Look at all the other stuff they sell, It's not just the traditional scooters
While they can supply a wide range of stuff we are not their main concern. And often it shows

The flywheel hub does not leave enough thread on the crankshaft for the main nut only goes on 3 turns. had to take to a machine shop and get it altered cost me £30, you don't expect that on a almost £300 item. Also the exhaust does not fit as its the wrong angle on the head ,std engine. i have used Sip with my GS stuff and V90 stuff, which went ok but now with the lack of urgency and no reply they can do one. do they check if the parts fit on my type of bike, doubt it by the look of it.

I think sip take the manufactures word for the fit and usability of all items,
The maker says it's ok to use so it must be we are dealing with German consumer laws. And none OEM parts

I think sip take the manufactures word for the fit and usability of all items, The maker says it's ok to use so it must be we are dealing with German consumer laws. And none OEM parts As Steve points out we have an aftermarket parts supply chain that is all based on non OEM parts, plus most older Vespa’s and Lambrettas consist of a mis match of aftermarket bits, few are totally original and Piaggio, this makes for many issues when buying spares, agreed there is some total crap out there but the better supppliers design pieces to fit on original scoots and engines which often means lots of tolerances which need ‘adjusting’ The Vespa parts are not too bad, unless you go into the high performance parts which need an engineering degree to adapt in some cases, the world of Lambretta aftermarket parts is a real shit storm, as Lambretta sold the tooling to India most parts are cast from poorly made pieces in the first place, nothing ever fits unless you buy original. The primmy im currently working on I have sourced a lot of OE parts and it’s amazing how everything falls together, no hammer required ! research before you buy, it can save a lot of swearing The vape kit from SIP, I have fitted 2 to both my scoots and fitted in minutes, I had no issues and it works perfectly.

All SIP orders come with a return form and instructions for returning items.
Forgive me for asking such a simple question but did you get the right taper?
Finally, they respond practically instantly if you leave a poor review on whatever review service they use.

Not on the forums, on their review service. A "while" after placing your order, you'll get an email asking you to rate them on an independent review site. I can't remember which one.

RE the exhaust problems with fitting, Are you trying to mix a 50cc. Pipe with a 125/90 cylinder? Do you have a copy of the original order?
It might be worth checking

The pipe is for a ss90 and the engine is a std ss90, wrong angle where it meets the barrel , and out of line on the silencer flange . Sips spec it for 50 and 90 . defo says fits SS90 on the specs.have made a wedge spacer to get it going , so far so good, but should not have to alter it myself should I. Also Sorted the Vape kit myself, got it machined at my expense and works now. I sent a filled in form on the complaints system online. I also left a bad review on the community forum . And they took 4 days to pick items even before it was posted. do they stock it as mentioned. i doubt it or it would be quicker. Just spent another £250 on stuff NOT with Sip. won't use them again. And left a shit product review , still nothing.
