The Pro cup 3 is finished so I just bought a pile of parts that were once a running 1967 50N. No docs or NOVA but it does have a Lambretta dating certificate. I know I'll need to renew it but at least it's something. Hopefully it'll end up something like this: Well, that colour anyway. That said I wouldn't mind changing it to a 50 special headset and horncast. Also hopefully change it to electronic ignition. If you have any relevant parts to sell let me know.

Nice one Dom. the cylinder cowl is a PX one btw. Let me know what bits you need and I'll have a look in the sheds. I need to clear some stuff away as I need some room.

Only got it home last night and saw that the cowl was chopped to fvck on the other side and wondered why. Now I know. Anyway I have two "musts" on this build and that is a simple 12v system to get rid of the points and a single saddle seat like this. . I'm going to change the loom, plus I want 12v, plus I want to fit the tiny 50 rear light. So I'll need a stator and a loom and a rear light. Does anyone make a tiny rear light with a brake lamp or is it just tail only? Do people bother to fit a brake light? Either way I'll need to choose the right loom- 12v with or without brake light depending on my previous question. Or do I just get one with a brake light wire and not connect it? Thanks

Oh yes, I nearly forgot, the little bugger has a Pinasco head/kit no idea what size yet but either 80 or 102 are a welcome bonus.

Ask Neil on the other group to make you a LED conversion rear light with brake light. He might need youe rear light unit as a template.

Good days work on sunday. Engine stripped down and it's an 80cc Pinasco. The rear brake was totally seized but it's now sorted. Inside the engine looks good and the bearings seem fine so I think I'll just change all the seals and gaskets. Haven't stripped the gears down yet so maybe a selector too.
Single seat ordered too.
I found a decent stator on ebay but I now need a 12v flywheel. Anybody have one to sell? Hasn't got to be fancy, just reliable. I'll post some photos later.

if the small end is a brass bush its a 50 crank but it looks like a standard 90 job
im guessing that that is some kind of decent kit cylinder whats it got cast on the cylinder
we can all give a better answer if we have info like small and size and length of the rod

Pinasco is written on the head and I measured the piston for the cc calculation. It's running a 16.10 Dellorto. Do you think a 16.16 or 19.19 would be better?

Hi Dom, Crank look standard to me, as for carb I would go with a 19 and don't forget to change the primaries if it still has the standard 50 ones. You can either use standard 90 ones, 22/63 or straight cut 24/72.

You can either use standard 90 ones, 22/63 or straight cut 24/72. I've used the calculator and it comes out like this on 8 inch wheels because there's no option for 9: ratio speeds in 1st 2nd 3rd standard 50n- 18/32 11 20 32 22/60 15 28 44 22/63 15 27 42 24/72 14 25 40 I've a Polini 60 tooth in the workshop but no primary small cog so if I buy a 22 it should be ok shouldn't it?

I drilled for floor runners, and centre stand before it goes for spraying. I also marked up any holes I wanted filling. They're not fixed down so they may not look straight. I'm going for the original total rubber runners. Then I spilt the gears down and checked everything and then rebuilt it and shimmed it. All good there with the selector and cogs. No visible wear or chunks removed. Then I tried to start stripping down the front hub. Shock removed easily, main hub nut totally seized. Balls! WD 40 applied and left for now. Next phase will include heat..... and then an impact wrench. I also bought a 22/63 primary drive as I thought the other straight cut option was a bit of a waste on this. The single seat arrived and looks great and I've ordered a VMC 12v system the same as on the yellow project. Slowly slowly the build continues.

No photos sorry.
Front hub nut loosened and large bearing removed but I can't find my special tool for removing the locking ring. I'll either work out a bodge with some flat bar or rip the workshop apart to find it.
New 22/63 primary fitted.
Clutch stripped down and Newfren corks fitted.
Front fork cleaned up and etch primed ready for paint.
Rear brake fully refurbished.
