Hopefully sorted the picture hosting PK 20mm forks with PX hub, carrier and caliper tried to build with PX shocker but it was sitting way too high Replaced with PK shocker, dry build to work on mudguard and brake hose routing

Replaced with PK shocker, dry build to work on mudguard and brake hose routing Much better Steve. Have you thought about routing the hose through the hole on the undersize of the headset (the one you can see in the picture)?

I need to get the master cylinder bracket re welded so once it’s right I can retry it

Replaced with PK shocker, dry build to work on mudguard and brake hose routing [/quote] If you bring brake hose around to the front you could route through existing cable hole in the forks, though you might need to widen the hole slightly. What reg is your scoot? You might need indicators fitted if after 87 and the brake light would have to work off of your front brake?

Its "A" reg - 1984. Max did suggest routing though fork leg, its the PX brake hose so it has big fittings which I would need to replace for a modular type hose so It would pass through the fork. I will have another look at the weekend. I did look at the brake hose kits but was not sure on fittings being a PX Master & Caliper?

Steve, you can use universal braided hose like this one and banjos. All you have to do, is widen the standard hole for the brake cable on the forks.

Found a supplier so ordered pipes and unions, ordered today and they have been despatched already. agree that it will both look tidier running the opposite way and up the fork leg, plus the pipe is more flexible so will easier to route more ££'s

loosely fit unions to pipes ,secure to master n slave cylinder then tighten up union/pipes fully . its what i do ,that way theres no twist in em an there better less stressed joints . H

Good tip H - Hoping to make a bit of progress and get the front end completed so I can press on with the engine build. Still not happy with the front mudguard, cut the seam out underneath, slotted the 3 bolt holes and it is still catching on the top of the Bitubo shock a bit of pondering whilst talking to myself required to solve

put an extra washer under mudguard to lift it slightly and see if it clears shocker.

put an extra washer under mudguard to lift it slightly and see if it clears shocker. I’ll give it a go but it looks like it needs to raise up a fair bit.

i would suggest that you get a groove cut into the manifold to help hold the carb rubber on, any machine shop could do that for only a few £££
