So I finally joined the Vespa family! I bought a 50 Special 3 days ago all in pieces which was nerve-wracking. Seems like a good buy though. If anybody knows the specific info on the engine bearings and seals that would be nice as I wanna buy local. Here is a few pictures. I'm getting the frame spot welded a few places before prepping for paint. Meanwhile I wanna assemble the engine, but need to get one half welded as there is a crack in the block.

I'll see if I can't find a good dealer here. The oil seals are a bit more tricky, but I'll manage. Do you know if people get the core of the frame spot welded? I am thinking about getting that done, not sure about the quality of repair done by the former owner.

Think you need a new seat, that one does not look like a primmy seat.

Could anyone measure from the bottom of the mudguard to the bottom of the taillight? I have to drill new holes, didn't weld the frame myself, so I have no measurements.

Preparing for paint, once the old paint is gone I'll start with a hammer and dolly. Tedious job.
