I've fitted a replacement rear shock had to modify it though as it was px type hoping to get hold of an adjustable type! Carb should be collected in the week and the modified centre plug head should be ready in the week so hopefully the super quick machine should be fire up this week....

Evening Smallies Been a bit busy with xmas, builds and of course getting the nifty fifty Vespa done... The 3 of us will be testing the scooter this coming Sunday at a friends farm and if there are any problems iron them out! i'm pretty sure all should be fine as its a standard sort of set up so no high revving silly speed dangers but then again who knows !! There is a link to the donation page at Aspire Oxford, If you can donate no matter how little or large it would very greatly appreciated. Soosh is going to be opening a face ache page too with a quality picture us, the scooter and hopefully of the build too... We've put a a modest £500 target to raise BUT i'm sure with your and everyone else's help we can smash that... aspireoxfordshirecommunityente.eu.rit.org.uk/fundraisers/niftyfiftychallengeCLICK ON THE BIG PURPLE DONATION BUTTON.... Many thanks The Wrong'un Team

Quick update.. We took Malcom to my friends farm yesterday (sunday) to meet sacha and simon (the other team wrong'un's) and some friends to test .. All seems ok BUT i need to up the idle jet due to it being weak low down...Pulled the choke on and it cleaned it up and seemed to go quite well for a 50cc pk...so theres going to be some competition against our friends pk50 and Lui (There is a feature and pictures in last months Scooter Nova) .. There should be a face ache page open soon with more info and pictures...

The scooter is basically ready......I say basically, we've tested it twice now. We/I tested Malcome last Saturday after setting the timing correctly setting as it was 7 degrees out ( going by the standard stator and case markings) just shows that the molded markings aren't good to go by. Its been set to 17 degrees instead of 19 to run it slightly cooler due to it being thrashed around in probably 2nd gear most of the time....We will see ! I've modified the fuel tap so it now feeds the carb with a much faster fuel flow than before, After timing the fuel flow as standard to how it is now has doubled the flow rate ( timed over 1 minute) .. We did find that it the engine seemed to suffer fuel starvation so when the choke was applied of course the engine picked up so I've gone from a 78 main up to an 84 and now gone up to a 55 idle jet.... Its made it run alot crisper but we will have to take it for another field run! Oh forgot to mention the newly fitted center plug Honda head i modified to fit too that is now on .. For a standard bore 50cc vespa (PK) it does go really well, sounds healthy and even has a power band. So we are there ( i hope) a couple of friends have had go and we're quite surprised by its performance ...... Not long to go so again any donations would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks

Afternoon smallies.. Ive just got hold of a 20mm internal diameter 3 stud manifold (thanks for looking henri sorry for the delay) which i think was from an ets....good price too.. I wanted to do away with the 16mm manifold as it had sleeve for the 19/19 carb to fit, Anyway the inner diameter of course bigger so less restriction....Its all bolted back together ready for its last blast before the endurance....

Good evening An update on our nifty fifty challenge saturday 23rd march... We completed 121 laps, we had a couple of breakdowns, dodgey plug, exhaust came loose on the manifold which resulted in the zorst popping off of the slip joint 3 times.. i rear puncture and a blocked air filter!!! If you go onto the Aspire Facebook page there are some cracking photos... We started and finished the challenge when many other motorbikes had to withdraw due to Broken frames, wheel bearings, exhausts, chains, forks, rear suspension etc etc etc...... So we are really chuffed with the result especially it being malcomes/our first outing.. We did find the front shock was completely shot this was noted when excessive being taken off of some the jumps ..and yes we grabbed some serious air !!!! Lastly we would like to thank you for your support and donations....with your help we raised just over £600 with extra being added from gift aid.. So thanks again smallies....we will keep you updated as we are hoping to compete again in May.. All the best The Wrongun's..
