IMG-20180107-00286 by henri briggs, on Flickr a well known purveyor of "exotic/rare rusty metal" caught me at a weak moment an managed to sell me this .was within a whisker of reducing my scoots to single figures but guess that dream/aspiration will have to wait . a spanish 125 super , weirdly a square badge but long wheelbase ,got the extra bracing for spare but not under the rear floor support, but all original an all there .bit dinged on 1 side of floor but major rot free .kicker seems to be seized in cases but crank turns ,so needs a strip down ,question is ,back to stock ,or kit/street-sleeper it .i know what i'm thinking ,an those pro-cup kits are attractively priced . Like it, I like the shape of this scoot. Maybe a custom job with a modern take , chrome without the engraving !

Oooh you have one of them "rare as" rear spare wheel carriers . Sympathetic resto on outside but upgrade motor for modern traffic . Electrickery is slightly different on the Spanish Supers I think and it may have smaller carb than primmy, can't remember off top of me head though.

Knowing H he'll throw an oily rag at it and it will run perfect - 90Mph in 3rd - It has the speed indicator on the mudguard 1st - 12mph, 2nd - 75mph and 90 in 3rd - I bet its never been into 4th.... !! The seat looks like it was made for H's small arse and the fact the paint is up to standard - its all plus points eh H !

its a steering lock catch ,chain from bar end to that , its getting lobbed at a passing cat/traffic warden/deliveroo rider . ME , thats its good side ,others rather crinkly along floor edge n muddys dinged ,an seats original but does have a hole ,shame as there the "rarest of the rare" .an my arse isnt small ,its svelte an well formed an firm like mutton i'll thank you to remember .i wish that was original sun faded blue paint , up close it is original an sun faded ,badly faded , light/khaki greens my best guess ,will suss when tanks out to do carb . plan is , vosa n date cert applied for already , see if a quick seeing to can get it running as is ,new headlight/rear light/speedo glass .got speedo glass n bevel n headlight n rim, shaun give us a rear light with it ,good dose of rust cure to stop the rot .an then mot an whilst getting it registered sit back n decide how to proceed .might have to move it on as is then ,in a position to buy managements flat an charge her "rent" (fnar-fnar) ,so there might be a "fire sale, all must go ,as ive paid the insurance an the lightnings due in 3 days" raising of capital deal. watch this space ,tho reckon this is pretty far down the list of "my precious" to be sold .1st up will be last in , it was cheap, local, weird an broken,so ticked all my boxes ,a metalic green flake ,purple ,mallosi 166 , vespbretta . (runs off giggling) an let the slagging begin . H

spanish 001 by henri briggs, on Flickr .finally got round to looking at this one . had a weird 18mm inlet so swapped that for a 19mm an slung a lectronic fly on .amazingly started 3rd kick . IMG-20180831-01126 by henri briggs, on Flickr . this was the state of the flyside seal ,black gunk is gear oil drawn thru the clutch side seal which wasnt much better . IMG-20180902-01130 by henri briggs, on Flickr . a 3 day soak an cases came up clean enough to start . IMG-20180903-01132 by henri briggs, on Flickr . that didnt want to come out ,had been "staked" in by somebody . IMG-20180909-01141 by henri briggs, on Flickr . couple of weird ones ,3 extra drilled/tapped holes behind were stator sits , fork bearings were uncaged balls ,an a weird ballast resistor nxt to coil to regulate? light circuit . back together now with a cut mazz crank an a et3 top end to perk it up . paint 001 by henri briggs, on Flickr . finally got my new shed up n running for painting . seam sealed ,stonechipped an a coat of white enamel on frame . an 2 rims ,stand n brackets ,rear spare carrier an seat base black enamelled . so much easier in a dedicated space than setting up to paint then clearing away . go in ,start heater , prep n spray etch . go back n do primer ,then top coats . then lock the door n leave to harden up . i didnt for this part as air wasnt that humid ,an compressor was inside the shed with me in the warm an dry .before going on to top coats i'll have moved it outside an fitted a extractor fan an fitted a water trap an regulator were line comes through the wall. i also tend to use a spraymate system for top coats rather than compressor an gun ,its quieter an smaller an will be inside with me .so long as sheds dry an warm enough ive not had a problem with blooming in the past .
