OMG WTF.... Is that a U or a H on that box.... either way I've never seen anything as twatish as that before.
A 50cc P range engine... VBB body - Rod bars - small frame forks...
Who the hell built it ? Trojan scooter ? - HTF is that.... Thai/Veit scooters more like - burn it, burn it now, before someone rides it and gets killed....
Did that come over a little strong - it was meant to.

I think the frame, or at least the front part, is smallie as it is quite narrow and if VBB would have the "visible" or "on top" brake pedal. I think the engine is smallie too but not sure what is going on with the kickstart, maybe a quadrant from a different model. Can't make out muddy.

the kickstart on a small comes from around the back - this one is defo on the front... i thought small frame at 1st as it looks like a small tank - but I've seen one of these conversions in the flesh before and it uses a late LML frame.
Can i be excused in thinking that we are spending too much time talking about this chunk of shite - please for god sake don't anyone buy it - someone will die soon riding one of these

at last I have managed to get on to this site to respond to all the people that have commented on my 1967 vespa 50 on ebay.to put the record straight the scoot is a 1967 vespa 50 which comes with a certificate from vespa uk to prove it authenticity it has been restored/customised by Trojan vehicles of portmouth.it was carried out for a 16 year old girl by her parents the scoot it not a Vietnam rebuild or some dodgy oriental import.it has douglas 1957 chrome control cables on it to make it look different it is really quirky that's why I bought it had scoots since 1978 and had everything gp200 sx200 p200e 180 rally ss90 which was the nicest but keep having clutch probs anyway the scoot is lovely paint work is immaculate it just different ive owned it 3 years never rode it used it as an ornament in my hall in my rather large farm house so somebody will be getting a absolutely scoot.
now to all those people that slagged it off with respect to all you purists out there it is what it is oh yeah it moted so its not a death trap and I would appreciate that you kept your silly comments to yourselves because you've not seen it close up as the attention to detail is amazing .I ve not come on here to insult people or there scoots just give info on what I'm selling
regards sean murf

Unfortunately - what you have been told and what presents itself is by no way what you say it is - you have to remember us "purists" do have extensive knowledge and just by the small details in the picture we can tell it is defiantly not what you say it is.
This is classically what the fast eastern restores turn out to satisfy the depleting market of original scooters - I know, I have been doing this for some 30 years and in the past 10 have seen loads of this type of scooter - It may well have the frame "numbers" of a 50 but just by the look of one certain part we can tell it is not a 50 - if you need to ask which part doesn't make it a 50 then you don't obviously know the different design characteristics of the models.
A frame number can easily be forged or removed from one frame and welded onto another - the guys issuing the dating and authenticity certificates work on the details which are presented to them and this again is open to abuse.
It is very easy to work out what this is - remove the engine side panel - and take the seats off and remove the petrol tank - and then post the pictures on here - I bet you will find extensive welding on the frame and other things that only a purist would Know -
Unfortunately us "purists" have seen too many of this type of "restoration" (loosely said) as us "purists" are the ones that do our best to help the unfortunate people that buy them to try to repair and fix the numerous problems that occur with them.
In all my "purist" years of working and collecting Vespas I have never ever seen this model - apart from on Thai/Veit websites - the few that have made their way to the UK are all either now being used as "decoration" or sitting in a shed with major mechanical problems.
I can list by the 100's the problems i have seen with nearly every far eastern import Ive had through the shop - some very dangerous and even life threatening - after all it is a machine that is ridden on the road and some of the issues we have discovered, just in time, could have easily killed the rider if not spotted in time.
It very well may have a MOT but a MOT doesn't help "when your out on the road and the brakes shoes which have been welded together because the original ones have worn out - brake in half and lock the wheel up and the rider is thrown from the scooter into oncoming traffic" - yea it happened and on exactly the same sort of scooter you are selling.
A MOT only checks for things on that day and on that time - riding on the road and under load, things behave differently -
You are offering up for sale something which is defiantly not what it is supposed to be.
You obviously saw the pretty colours and the unusual shape and of course brought the scooter - The information is out there, and its people like us "purists" that are here to help - We do take the piss when things like this come up - but we are all genuine Vespa lovers and collectors and in our strange way we are trying to help !
I know the comments don't help you now - but if the next buyer was aware of the issues and your description is better suited to what you are trying to sell it would help potential buyers make up their own mind.
Please be aware of what you are selling and if your conscience allows get it checked over by a reputable scooter shop or better still a "purist" and take their advice -
Good luck with the sale.
