never done a jump. i doubt i would have the bottle to let go of the plane unless it was on fire i also have a fear of the big thud as your body is turned into an instant pizza

as tz says , also its "not the fall that kills you, but the sudden stop at the bottom" , not for me . even on a static line triffid theres dangers ,fell out of a few trees when doing forestry work. on a safety line so like static jumps only a short drop til theres a stop/parachute opening . found out you need to arrange ya harness carefully ,anything "personal" not in right place can get squeezed by the leg straps ,very painful . I was a qualified high ropes instructor for a while (still am I suppose, I don't think you lose the qualification) and agree with the harness arrangements, can be very painful if not done right, and dangerous too, it is surprising how much give there is when you fall even a few feet.

on a similar if digressing note . only bit of jeremy cuntson ive enjoyed watching is him in a tornado . his "old-man" personals slipped inside the anti-G pants ,pilot pulls a stunt an they inflate . hilarious ,he pukes an rumour has it needed stitches , an a "remove-a-bollock-out-of me" procedure at the hospital. as i said hilarious, nearly had me in stitches laughing so hard .
