I have a rebuilt V50S 1967 engine with Polini 115cc Kit , it has a nice torque in 2nd gear when going up the hills , but has kick-start troubles, lousy 6V electrics.. that are becoming dangerous to use on the South France-Italian mountain roads Like to make my Vespa to have more modern engine performance but to keep the Vintage look Has been wandering : What is the Best perfomance-tuning possibilities allround smallframe engine that would fit my V50 frame without to much husstle?Example: Primavera 125, Primavera ET3, PK50 , etc? what do you guys think?

Best bolt in motor is the P 125 ETS unit.
Tuning etc. then they're all pretty much the same. The 112 is pretty good but a decent 130 will be loads better. Decide your budget before taking the plunge though, first step in my eyes is a decent ignition.

I would have thought an ET3 motor would be easiest to find out your way, failing that a PK125 would be nice.

you could always get a cheap 125cc topend from either a PK or ETS and convert your motor, would save a lot of hassle and cost

Pop over the border to Italy, you might be able to find a 125 engine there.
