dont see why not , whats the engine/kit spec, anything over 200cc starts to need a powerjet if tuned up ,if its a smallblock 150/175/186 should be ok , what size carb is it .H

28mm phbh, indian 200 alloy steel liner barrel. I'm thinking solder up the jet put it back in, and then work round general jetting settings.

that should work an be a permanent/non-dropping out fix .my experience of the indian kits is they always could do with ports/general clean ups ,an careful checking of bore/piston clearances .they can often need a hone , at least as its a chop ya choice of inlet stub n filter isnt restricted by panel fit. You'll like this mate! All the ports were 3mm too low. I've had to fit a 3mm packer and trim 3mm off the top of the cylinder. Put it back together, checked the port timings-ok, checked the squish about 1.4mm. Everything appears to be ticketyboo! Oh, and inlet manifold won't matter, I've made me own. Just waiting for me buddy to ally weld it.

To be honest, don't know if he'd have the confidence for cases. He's self taught, and welder's in the shed at bottom of garden. I could ask.
