You can do the same with standard puller. I use a piece of pipe few cm long (inner diameter bigger than the puller, outer diameter smaller than the oil baffle), big washer and additional nut. Great trick, no need to use new tab washers, no problem with dropping the woodruff key into the engine, no need to retorque the nut I see no drawbacks.

my BGM clutch puller/compressor does the same thing too.. it's great, but it doesn't have the cool twist handle.. I do like that..
