All sounds good mate, you'll see a decent return of power, although there's a massive choice of kits nowadays, polini with 24mm carb is quite old school. (although it's what I run)
Smallyshane ran polini & pm so he'd be a good person to speak to for what to expect.
Disc brake wise you need some PK125 (20mm axle) forks to give you disc capability although the drum brakes are pretty good on these anyway (basically same as an old PX) You can tell them as they have a triangular pattern on the link
Bike looks nice as well
Try vespatronic rather than parma -it's a bit cheaper plus you get all the tools with it

Oh and while you're in amongst the gears and that it'd definately be worth replacing the detent spring for an uprated one

Tidy scoot mate. Don't forget you need a decent crank as well.

Oh and the front shocks are different for v series and PK125's before you spend a load of cash!
BTW - YOU'RE PARKED ON DOUBLE YELLERS!!!!!

I like that Old school rules mate, I loved my pollini with Pm40 and 24mm delly, MAzz Crank not sure I would go with the reed though, I have never been able to get my head around why you would use one on a rotary inducted barrel... I'm sure some will know why mind and put me in my place, but I have always just seen it as another pressure change and a longer run to get the fuel where it needs to be. I just use the mallossi manifold that sticks it out the side pod, but would be temted to go for the MB short one or Taffys do one too as this moves the carb closer to the casings and I believ it gives a touch more to top end. Again, Nice scoot mate, and it will be a flyer with all that stuff bolted on. ;D

Bitubo shock will fit your CURRENT fork, but NOT a PK one you need for the disc brake. They're a lot of money so you don't want to be spending it twice. Reed block on rotary barrel - that's when you've knackered your inlet!!! Isn't the idea that you don't need to set the rotary inlet opening / closing times because the reed takes what it wants - when it wants?

Yep. Sugalump is right really. Whats the point of sticking it on with the rotary? You are supposed to open up the port there to allow it not be goverened by the crank web but tbh its all so small its all a bit rubbish. better to stay with rotary with increased timing or cheapest way to go reed is a malossi barrel with the barrel reed assy.

And if i'm not mistaken, its the PX type bitubo you would need if you are going disc brake, as the mounting on the bottom end is different.... could be wrong, but I am pretty sure thats the case, and I would love one on mine too mate, they look the dogs. love the colour of that scoot mate, what is it? its like a greeny grey colour or is that just my eyes ;D

Hi Guys, First time I've been on here and it looks as though some of my questions are already answered as i'm going for pretty much the same set up as k5rlx (polini 135 & PM Pipe) -amazinging coincidence!
Have decided to finally give my '81 V100 shed the restoration she deserves after languishing in various basements &garages for the last 10 years waiting for me to get my arse into gear.
I want to fit an old PK electronic flywheel and stator I have kicking arond in the shed and am just wondering what type of race crank I will need to fit for this, I'm a little confused with the differing cone sizes! Anyone know? As I'm a cheapskate Yorkshireman, I was also wondering whether it would it be OK to rewire the stator using the wire from the old V100 loom?
Great Site, by the way.

electronic PK flywheel could be one of 2 sizes. Do you know anything about the bike it came off?
Loom will more than likely need some work, but it's doable
Wherabouts in God's own county are you? There's quite a few of us on here

I'm afraid I'm an ex-pat Yokshireman these days, Breezer, living in Lancaster for my sins! I think the flywheel came off a PK50, I'll have to rake the old engine out of the shed. I used the stator off the engine in my PKXL and had to scour the nation for the bigger taper flywheel flywheel as both were missing - I know the flywheel was too small for the XL anyway Ta mate

to smallframe pilot- the loom is possible but grief and head scratching. Much easier to change it together with the switches and fit a regulator. Try beedies they do a handlebar conversion switch and use a px type pedal switch.
To K5rlx .. prob ok mate. size wise its similar to malossi's own 25mm kit they do. Make sure you can get a manifold to fit tho.
