I can insure 4 bikes on my policy, so, after a winter of tinkering, this is the lucky 4 this year.

Still avoiding the lure of The Cosa, eh? re very happy I've got friends that own Cosa's and they are very happy with their performance and handling. The weakest link in those machines are the brakes (when they start to fail). There even was a batch of Cosa 2 200 with serial aluminium kit.

I had a mk1 CL 200, a fantastic machine. The only reason I got rid of it was because it was beginning to rot on the main spine behind the front wheel.
I wouldn't have said the performance was impressive at all, nor the styling or economy, but the roadholding and ride more than made up for that. Yes the hydraulic brakes can be troublesome but everything has it's own quirk.
I'm aware some of the later versions had an alloy barrel which would be a nice thing to have indeed along with a Harry Barlow stage 4 tune.

TOP TIP GUYS Insurance companies can only charge rasonable costs for changes to your policy so if they say they are going to charge you £30-£40 for a change of address or to take a machine off your policy say to them that sounds rather expensive and could you give me a breakdown of the costs, my missus did it and after a pause (apprently checking with their boss) the charge was dropped completely. It is easier for them to do this than send you a letter with the breakdown in costs which you will then contest so they drop the charge
