Me and Lisa are over on the IOW at the mo- visiting her folks and we'd planned to buy a smallie lump for her V90 off a friend of her step dad. Anyway we meet up with the bloke, go to his lock-up and while fishing out the lump, a smallie frame and various other bits and bobs start to turn up as well. I hadn't planned to buy anything, but as we sort through it all, it turns out to be an old v100 sport with both panels, forks, headset, tank( not too sure if its the right one) and various other bits and bobs ;D . the price for all this including Lisa's lump- £150!!!! ;D money has been a bit short and I wasn't going to get a smallie for a while- but it was too good to turn down! pics to follow tomorrow ;D

heres the beast! ;D Lisa's engine- late type with roller bearing small end, had a look inside, its in pretty good nick apart from a crack near the drain plug and the usual knackered threads etc et3/primmy type arrangement, I'm guessing a lot of parts will fit this headset, switches are a bit strange, might use p-range ones as I'm not having those bloody awful indicators! horny indeed! I remember when I had a 100 sport when I was 18 that parts were/are a bit hard to get, the horn being one of them, managed to find the one for this scoot but we couldn't find the cover anywhere in the blokes shed will anything else fit it? had a look on US fleabay for one but had no joy, anyone got one kicking around or know of an alternative? same strangeness with the fuel tap/ choke- I used to turn on my tap with a screwdriver, anyone got any pics of the choke/ fuel area or better still have the correct plate thingy? the frames sound, no major rot and striaght but its been fitted with what looks like PK inicators and so been drilled on the ledshields to mount them, the runner boards have also recieved the same treatment as well as other random places on the frame- swiss cheese look? what do you think of it, any info, help would be greatly appreciated ;D

Like it - try Juan for a petrol tap.
Horn cover, have a look on ebay for a shell horn cover.
I've got a set of PK cases spare if they're any good to transfer the top end and internals across to?

Nice project Paul. What you planning to do with it? Btw, you and Lisa seem to have a nose for bargains. First you found a v90 on a rubbish dump and now a 100 sport in someone shed!!! ;D

you've picked up a real bargain there, under that paintwork, it looks like its a pretty dent free straight frame. wish i came across finds like that!
just blank the left hand headset switch side off and then fit either a 50 special or early p series unit on the right.
you can even construct a nice little sandwich box behind that left hand door ;D
