solution, shim the tree and kick start quadrant or machine spider. Don't dare to shim the tree, the rear sprockets and tree are close as it is. Minimum machine both spider and basket I think. Will have to wait for inspiration .....

The shim goes under the tree. Drt realised the error and now supply shim for it and the kickstart quadrant. If you machine then its just the radius of the spider.

Ok, nice info!
Maybe I'm slow but, if I lift the tree wont it come closer(alignment) to the "wheel axle" sprockets 1,2,3,4. They are very close as it is today...

You mean 'move across'. well yes slightly. But have you ever seen how badly they line up anyway? You could line up first and 4th but 2 and 3 dont sit in the center. Or with other gears you could line up first and 4th is offset! Its all bananas. I built my race box with all this in mind and couldnt get it perfect at all. You would have to start machining gears and be clever with the selector to get it perfect.

This is the upgear kit I have the DRT mounted on. www.sip-scootershop.com/main/base/details/DetailsPrint.aspx?ProductNumber=15330000Rest of the gearing is exchanged to match the zirri 4th, newer rear axle and sprockets. So you think mailing him this link would do the trick then?? Thanks Adam! Will pm you if this f*cks up..... Thanks madmax! I really needed that... I searched for someone to translate the Falc-instruction for months... ;D ;D By now I'm almost quarter Italian ;D

I haven't been following the board much lately. I just reread this entire thread. I hope I understand this properly because I am building a DRT primary with the primary upgear kit John listed. I also intend on using a FALC clutch. I have all the parts I just haven't started the build yet.
Do I need a shim to go between the bearing and the gear tree to raise the FALC clutch spider away from the DRT primary?
Will my long arm clutch cover (not PK) work?
Also, Tony, I'm glad you're back. Thanks again for all your help previously!!

Hi mate- and cheers. Its a good idea to shim the tree to bring clutch spider away from the drt. Denis now supplies shims for the tree and kickstart quadrant. The long arm cover is what i use and no problems. Within the instructions for the clutch there is a note about pressure plate clearance which goes on about removing some material from the brass plunger and cover surround if reqd. hope that helps.

So far so ....... f*cked! Created some space for the clutch whit the help Denis drawings. Was about to mount it to the engine when I saw a tiny crack on the inside of the backplate flange, going from a stud hole and in. Ye-haa! ;D Contacted Denis for solution.... €£$£$€

Did you try to translate or just send him english via email?
