Grinding the house inner flange.. Actually that has crossed my mind but I rejected it because of getting metal in the gearbox and near season end. But hey If it works for you so why not... My clutch is now slipping so much I have to use sailing tactics to get around , no wind in the nose ;D Btw 225worb, r you still running the 30mm carb on the 60x54 falc PK or have you swapped it??I have still not decided what size VHSB to go for....

John, sip do a tool to assemble the clutch in bike.. Its soooo easy that i will never do it the old way again. No more trying to line it all up without losing the woodruff key.. you just put the spider on first, put a nut on it and then assemble clutch using sip tool and extractor together. Clutch therefore is 100% aligned as you build.

Will fab some fixtures for mounting them leveled on the "mill table" (spelling) tomorrow. Then I´m ready to go.... Will post some pics soon! See ya

Hi smallies! Milling is now done... And lets quote J.Morrison "Break on trough to to the other side", No sh*t! Casing now need some serious TLC whit the TIG. Suspected? Yes, but not this much... Some pics for you..... Merry Christmas! The first strike of weld is now there, will have to add some on the gasket surface as well. So this means another go in the mill.... Then there will be some more hours whit the dremel ;D By subitus, shot with KC910 at 2008-12-30 By subitus, shot with KC910 at 2008-12-30 By subitus, shot with KC910 at 2008-12-30 By subitus, shot with KC910 at 2008-12-30 By subitus, shot with KC910 at 2008-12-30 By subitus, shot with KC910 at 2008-12-30 By subitus, shot with KC910 at 2008-12-30

Wouldn't it have been easier to weld first and machine later?
Not try to find fault mate but when mine was machined for the 54mm there was no breakthrough nor others that i know have been done, looking at it have you got it all square?
Keep it going mate it's a lot of work but will be worth it.

Hi Add.... Yes weld first and machine later would been alot easier but the ac/dc Tig wasn't available at the time. When you mention it, I haven't seen any 54mm break through pics on the web either..... . Can there be different spacing fore the auxiliary shaft in my casing, since it is an v50 case? Will have to measure the 3th gear on the v50 vs 4th on pv125... BTW Add, I saw in one of your pics that you have filled the hole/channel between bearing and transfer.....why? *curious*

Hi John, if you look at the picture below you'll see the lip inside is't the same thickness all the way round which it would be if were centered, this is why you've gone through I think... These are mine taken out for my 54mm.......Only 87mm webs but room for more should I need it. As you said the bearing oil feed on mine is blocked, that was at casting and it has a feed from the side of the crank web which you can see above.

You probably have a point there mr.Add.... Can't check casings, they are at work You don't think its camera jiggling ? At this angle it looks a lot better... Looking at this pic, you still have the centering flange left on your flywheel side. In the kit for Lauros 54 crank v0004 you get a "centering-pin" to put around one of the casing bolts (upper pic right corner). This new pin together with the old one in the rear is the only centering thats left after machining to his measurements. F*ck me! Really hope I don't have to start all over again...

Hi john. To be honest I think its a start again on this one. For the falc work fit dowl pin first, then perform all welding. The inner area shouldnt break through into gearbox at all. I would re check the plans because your machining to clutch side looks wrong in all your pics except one.
