Dupercanto have these for €400+

I agree looks good. In any case the weight saving is no doubt the driver here not aesthetics. I can tell you firsthand the weight titanium saves is mind blowing when uou have it in your hand having had plenty of Arrow dirt bike cans as replacement for standard cans in the past.

I've held one - it's lighter than a Yorkshireman's tip in a restaurant.
I don't think it will rust either. The only worry is where to get it welded if it cracks.

If anybody bought a titanium pipe and painted I'd be perplexed.. Titanium will continue to look good and to me chrome looks cheaper (and I have a chrome pipe..)

Would a titanium pipe act differently to say a mild steel one. When I say act diff I mean temps. Would an Egt reading be different in anyway. Just out of curiosity Price is very good considering its a titanium pipe

Just out of curiosity Price is very good considering its a titanium pipe I'd say it affects it slightly as due to a different heat disipatipn coefficient, it will change the exhaust gas temp, hence the rev range it acts. Don't know which way it changes it and to what extent - but you might google that :-) Sent from my iPhone

Wrapping the exhaust, i. e. Increasing EGT, will put your power range up by about 200rpm (they say)

my 2 penuth worth. as i understand it titanium is as strong as alloy steel as light as aluminium.
wrapping exhausts is often done on 4 strokes jennings mentions this in his four stroke books but not in his two stroke book.
i also have a hunch that heat is the enemy of engines and that trying to keep the exhaust hot will tend to limit the power that you can produce.
repairs can be done but only with tig
