Awesome, i grew up riding trials bikes and always had a nice new yamaha or montessa whilst my dad spent every weekend striping one if these down on the trailer.. ;D
I remember one time it was working and i dropped my Ty off a 15ft drop and twisted it a bit, bust my thumb and foot a bit but when my dad came down to get me on it, hopped on and rode it the mile or so back to the van.
happy memories indeed.
Lovely bike that though mate, looks like new....

Very nice Gareth Were you dreaming about your new purchase from America this afternoon whilst filling up your Jeep? or was it the dark haired bird in the black Beetle that distracted you from my hand gestures whilst i was on pump number 1. ;D How long before it lands mate,i better get my smallie shifted to make way for the new arrival.

Sorry if that's a stupid question: Is the front brake not fitted, or wheren't they using one?

I could be wrong but as far as I remember the US flat-trackers were pretty much the same as Euro Speedway bikes and only used a rear brake.
What sprang more to mind for me was the apparent lack of an exhaust.

Ok, it's a flattrack racer, for some reason I thought it was a trials bike. The title of the topic sort of gives it away though. If only one reads it.
Isn't the pipe tucked away under the engine, with the downpipe just visible at the downtube of the frame?

3 levers? Front on right? Rear and clutch on left? Is the disc missing on front as looks enough space on the spindle?

cable operated rear brake from bars at mo but will be changed. No front brake in race mode but i will fit a Pursang front wheel which is the MXer it's derived from so i can daytime MOT it. Clutch and decompressor on left hand bar.
