Hi Henri Yes its a good article really pleased with it and so is Mark1 my sponsor RSItalia :-) Work will be done to improve the fairing over winter to open it up a bit and raise it etc, the forks are from a Benelli I got told, its supposed to have yam xerox ones? but I got offered these before I knew what the frame would take and ended up having to get a xerox tube welded to the yolk, anyway it rides well just need to stiffen the fork suspension up maybe a different oil or springs, have not even looked how to do that yet as the motor is stripped for repair at the moment, soon be done and look forward to the new year with it :-) No idea what the rake is, its a Keisler frame from Germany, sip sell em

to stiffen them its harder springs with a higher rating , the oils for the dampening effect ,if harder rate springs arent easy to come by ,as benelli's aint common in england ,you can either up the pre-load by fitting thick spring seats ,makes it a bugger to get end caps on that way , or really reduce the size of holes in the damper/shuttle , there the restrictions to oil flow that gives the damping affect,by reducing them your creating a hydraulic effect an hardening the compression rate . depending on the oil youve got in there you'll probably get the effect you want by just going to the heaviest grade oil you can find ,ive only had to stiffen forks before on moto-crossers coz they were bottoming out too easy hitting bumps , if ya stiffen too much the small bumps on a strip will start to throw ya off line an could cause ya to weave ,H

Bought the rag today for the first time in ages to give the article a look over but only really had a flick through the rest of it yet. The Red Baron Lammie surprised me a bit being very understated to the fella's previous efforts, not my taste still but a much less fussy affair altogether.

have to agree with juan ,apart from the mental russian auto in middle non of over scoots were to my taste ,personal opinion but to me "custom" scoots need some personalizing engineering an actual customising , anybody with a fat wallet can buy a paint job n shed load of engraving an a "stock" engine tune , just like the rich guy before n 1 after , hardly "custom" , soz rant over ,didnt mean to hijack ya thread eean , H

Its been a very busy few weeks/months now, nearly finished my new bigger shed, galv steel roof coming tomorrow for it, get that on and move some stuff out my garage to free up space :-) the cylinder is replated sat on the bench waiting to go back on the motor, its ceramic coated, very nice job I'll get a few pics up over weekend. Also some box section steel is coming with the roof, to make a dyno frame :-)

Hi Col, AptecPro, Poeton industries in Gloucester, not cheap but are top rated, they do everything from scooters to forula1 cars, my Falc barrell was £185 shipped back to me plus what I paid to ship to them plus a new piston so around £280 all in, get some bigger main jets now :-D

I've got the mad thing back together at last :-) Torqued up using my new Wurth 1/4 drive torque wrench :-) More to do with the fairing adjustment and I'm going to stiffen the fornt suspension a bit.

Ha me too Henri, I need to make a small dyno frame now to get the motor in and enable me to get it on one, I have the box sectioning to do it now so I'm hoping I won't be too far off ;-)

Did they have to re-bore before coating?

Did they have to re-bore before coating? I don't think so, they just clean the bore of what's on there I think as its a standard size piston that's gone in it, and recoat, apparently it's the best you can get? Not sprinted it yet just keep starting it up and warm it up proper before turning it off, they just said put it through as many heat cycles as poss to run it in ?
