Got new Primmy today, Flies compared to my old PK50, first ride tonight, big smile on face. on way home when having to give way to traffic, as I pull off throttle cable snaps. Good job we're friendly lot, bloke from local club saw me pushing it. stopped and we got enough tick-over to at least get me riding down hill and on the flat. Looks like another small order for Beedspeed, and some more reading of scooterhelp. BTW the white is some kind of rust inhibiter Rob

Nice one mate, et3's are the bees knees. Ride it for the summer cause if you pull it apart you'll begrudge every sunny day...!
Previous owner was pretty proud of his tax disc huh?

Looks good. If your ever stuck for cables and small odds and ends i always have stocks . I usually order 30/40 of each and have them in my filling cabinets in the garage!!! Is that an import or UK one, as pretty rare if UK one. Number plate looks like UK original spec rather than an import reissue one. Might even be one of the "jeans" versions that had a denim seat if thats the original blue colour? Ive got a rear badge if you want one on.

When I removed the headlight the cable end was in the twistgrip slot with about an inch of cable, looking at the photo ( sorry it's not clearer) would i start to feed the new cable through the white plastic thingy below and behind the end of the twist grip. Rob

Doh, Think I 've got it now, because I was looking from front, I got things ar$e over , well back to front anyway. There's a groove on the front on white plasticky bit so I assume this helps to guide the cable through headset into outer cable. then as if by magic (if your lucky) it pops out the other end.

Big thanks to Scootlife coming round last night and fixing the throttle cable. Been out tonight and done about 20 miles with no problems. Speedo works but I just don't think it's quite right, seems a bit generous
Rob
BTW I've moved the tax disc

No probs at all.. At least its sorted now. I seem to recall your speedo was a 120 one which would mean its kmh rather than mph.. Would be 80 one if mph. That might explain its generosity!! Cheers Rob
PS Took the PK and My GP for Mots and both passed at Lomax's
