It's one of those new fangled fat smallies. In fairness its a lot easier to work on than a Smallie, only really because of all the extra roooooooom. Day off work today and only thing left on the frame is fuel tank, loom and centre stand

Day off work today and only thing left on the frame is fuel tank, loom and centre stand I cut my teeth on a px125 and can honestly say I loved it and don't understand why people have such strong feeling against them.i only moved over to smallys due to them having a earlier styling and tinker-ability.all you need now is a 200 lump . Good luck.

I think I may try and leave it standard. Just respray, bit of subtle chroming, new electrics, new mudguard, bit of tlc, new engine bits etc.

Right, update for y'all. All items removed and stripped from the frame, all components are ready to begin work stripping to bare metal, I'm going to respray myself as I've acquired the use of a compressor and tools from a frame, if I promise to prime his VW squareback panels at the same time. Looks like the frame will need some work. Where the centre stand clips are bolted to the frame, there has been a bit of damage and 'bodged' badly. This is the welding which resembles haemorrhoids on the floor. I'm tempted to 'make good' and use a side stand rather than the centre stand, my question is.... Is this MOT'able or does it have to have a centre stand? The front left legshield has also take a knock, and will need a little straightening, (hopefully the forum legshield headers will do the trick ) Other than that, frame is straight, no rot, very dirty but solid. Engine turns freely, carb needs to be cleaned and tuned a little to get it running well. I also has a question here....... How does the starter motor gear engage with the flywheel? I noticed it wasn't meshed? As I've never had an elec start it's not something I've ever come accross. Standby for pics of frame damage.

Hey Danny, nice project there mate re- the stand, you can use a side stand no probs but to be honest theyre not all that stable. Got a side stand on my smallie and the weight of the frame on the stand is starting to 'dent' the floor board. A lardy obviously weighs more so will do even more damage over time. however if you really want a side stand fit both as for the stator motor, yeah theyre not meshed, when you press the elec start the cog flys outward towards the flywheel then. if you move the starter cog by hand you'll see how it works.

Got a side stand on my smallie and the weight of the frame on the stand is starting to 'dent' the floor board. The best way to stop the stand plate flexing and denting the floor is to get a bar/tube or small box section welded to the under side of the bracket. Took the flex out of mine.

I think that what has happened n the past, the floor is dented along the centre stand line. Will need a bit o' welding to put right.
