Col has kindly agreed to take my newly finished 1970 SS90 (138 Falc) down the sprint track at the Lincoln Scooter Rally on the weekend of 14th - 15th July organised by the LCGB. come along and see how he does, I'm sure Col would appreciate your support.

Absolutely overwhelmed by your kind offer Daz....... i really hope the sprinting comes off at the Lincoln rally, i can only begin to imagine what a health and safety issue it must be to organise.... i think its over an 1/8th of a mile........
the sprinting at the Holiday in Holland rallies was just at the back of the tents. Quality.. ;D
something a bit out of the ordinary from normal rallies "cant wait"

Quality.. ;D The Sprinting at Lincoln is right next to the camping too Apparently there going to be using the rear access road which is straight and about a mile long I gutted as Im in Lincoln most weekends but I cant make the rally that weekend as I have some else to do and its only about 10 mins away from the show ground I'd go but I think the Mrs would'nt like it if I didnt turn up for our wedding

The sprint event is definitely on, the event is sponsored by 'Classic Scooterist Scene magazine'. I'm very good friends with the editor -Mau Spencer. The only thing that would cancel the event would be the weather on the day, and we have been having freakish weather here in Lincoln! All are welcome to support Col, come and see us, you can't miss us! large Red awning and we always stock plenty of beer and always have a BBQ on the go , so come have a beer and a butty and take the piss Wayne - are you a lincoln lad?

The Lincoln rally itself will definitely go ahead as planned if the weather is bad. however it will kill the sprint event. The venue has lots of indoor areas for the custom show etc, so fingers crossed. been on a memorial ride out and scooter meet today, the forecast was atrocious, and guess what...... it never rained once, just so bloody unpredictable. not even the forecasters know what its bloody doing!

It blew me away, im just sorry i couldnt do it justice, a mixture of nerves (because of the scoots value) and the sheer bloody power of the thing took me by suprise to say the least... If any of you can honestly say you`ve ridden a Vespa that wants to wheelie in first and second gear off the throttle and then makes the front end go very light when you put it into third, whilst still pulling like a train, then you will know what i mean by nervous... EVERY SINGLE passer by said "lovely scoot mate" and i forgot to say to most of them "its not mine".... ;D ;D Great as ever to meet up with the forum members, especialy the Surrey crew and their scooters, will get pics up soon.... Once again Daz, "Your an absolute Gent and a credit to the world of scooters"... i owe you big time.... many many thanks Col

Have to agree with col, what a fantastic scooter Daz has built and I know exactly what col means about riding one.....I wouldn't take my own ss down the track let alone someone else's !!!!! Good on you Daz for letting him blast it down the track and well done to col for not stacking it ;D

94 MPH within 1/8th of a mile is rather rapid.......... like it or loathe it flies, VERY well engineered IMO, and the added bonus of two exhaust pipes to completely fall apart.... ;D
