Very nice jimmy...make sure you don't scratch that beautiful paint when you rebuild...and make sure you touch up the edges of holes when you drill for runners etc. did you get any of the paint for touch up? I did, yes... good tip re: the holes. Dave's also said if I bring it back once it's built he'll go round and repaint/buff any scratches. But yeah, I'm going to try not to!

I'll probably leave it as-is... I'd rather disable the scoot with a big chain then rely on an easily-removed steering lock. And no, it won't be kept outside. I'm looking into renting a garage nearby (though they're pretty expensive in London )

Dining rooms in 2nd floor flats in Victorian buildings with narrow staircases are sadly an exception But yeah, well chuffed with it. Going to do as much as I can with the frame in the flat... floor rails, loom, cables etc, and rebuild the engine. Then there's a chance I can move it to my Mum's garage near Cambridge, which will mean I get one day a month max to work on it, but at least it's moving forward.

Nice colour Jimmy, sort of vintage matching the scoot.
Make sure once everything's assembled you can get it down the stairs, frames start to get heavy as you add to them.
I've just been investigating renting a garage off the local council mainly for storage of scooter stuff, you have to get on the waiting list first. There's a block of council garages local to me. £18.50 a month to rent one

I'd try to get alloy beading if you can.
The Mauro Pascoli is generally much, much better than the other stuff available. I'd spend the extra.

Looks really nice James but there are white spots all over it! ;D I'm not too concerned about the white spots. It's the picture of Jimmy in his undies that worries me whilst taking the pics of the new paintwork ;D Nice colour and look forward to seeing the updates as and when. Ps.Jimmy. Yesterday i found JDV853N in the same colour as yours in my mates Facebook pics on a scooter rally in Morecambe in 83/84
