Right chaps, I'm doing a basic guide for those that aren't familiar with forum workings. Images. To post an image from your personal collection you need to open an account with one of the hosting sites. The most commonly used of these are Photobucket and Imageshack, there are others though. When you've opened your account you can upload your images. At this stage you will notice 4 boxs under the picture. The easiest way to post is to copy the dynamic box with {IMG} {/IMG} * around it. Come back to the forum and paste it. **The other option is to copy the URL and then paste it in the image function on your controls. This is the box 4th from left on the bottom row of Icons above your posting box and this option also ties in with taking images from other forums and sites although some don't allow hotlinking. * I've substituted [ ] with { } so you can see how it's done. ** To copy a link right click over the address and it will highlight blue, right click over it again the choose copy, come back to the forum and select the URL Icon 2nd from left on the botton row of Icons. You should get {URL} {/URL}, right click inbetween the brackets and select paste, job done. Getting a little more advanced with links you can try this. {URL}http://davedaniel.proboards91.com/{/URL} gives this davedaniel.proboards91.com/ while if you do this {URL=http://davedaniel.proboards91.com/}homepage{/URL} gives this end result homepage. I hope that's helped a little.

Hey Juan, I have tried to insert a picture following your instructions, but a message keeps coming up saying: you did not enter a valid subject. All subject must contain at least one letter or number. What to do!!! I also tried to change my date of birth but with not avail( I've only made myself a day younger eh eh).

Someone recently stuck a post up about losing their referal stripdown photos on their computer..? may have been scott...? not sure who. Something that may be of help is Dropbox. www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTEzNTc4NzkIt installs a folder on your PC that you dump stuff into, and then automatically stores copies on the web, so if your PC get shafted, you have copies saved on the net. You get 2GB of free storage space, it really is easy to use and a god send for anyone wanting to back stuff up. Also a great little feature is the PUBLIC folder, you can drop photos into there that you want to share with anyone, eg like on here, and then simply link to them. Maybe helpful to anyone having photos they want too keep that are important. On the design side of things i have it on my home PC and my work one, just drop my files in at home, and hey presto, pick them up at work when i get there, result, no more dicking around with CD or USB. Yeah it's only 2GB (half a DVD) but its still handy to have. Anyone want anymore info click the link, or drop me a mail and i can talk you through it. Its dead easy and just a couple of clicks to use, it's saved my ass a few times..!! A lot of us I.T geeks use it.

also when you copy and paste from photobucket you dont have to use the insert image icon as its already coded in on the copy. other sources you need to put the copied inbetween the {img] your picture code pasted here [img} if you get what i mean an the same with {url] copied fromthe adress bar and pasted here [url} you just stick it inbetween the 2 ][ of whatever it is you choose, still if you all follow the first post its a piece of piss also if you find a pic you can right click on it and choose properties copy the url and use it that way, doesnt always work tho

Shit bags photobucket have removed the 3rd party link to all photos posted on this and thousands of other sites, meaning we've lost images posted on many helpful threads. It'll cost you 400 dollars a year if you want to continue it.
I'm removing all of mine from photobucket and hope everyone else in the bleeding world does so that photobucket ends up with bugger all on their site.
Bunch of arse holes.

took me 3 days to load the photos for vespa world days, my pc and connection isn't the fastest but that was just ridiculous. Thankfully the connection from this site is quicker . Photobucket do seem to have changed how you share the photo as it to me a while to figure it out but basically you open the image you want and there is a box on the rhs side that has a list of options, I think you click the second bottom one and it says copied and then you post that into your post on here.
