Who made the exhaust? Looks like a PM tuning designed system. As far as I was aware it was a mate of mine that did all our tuning and spray jobs back in the day, but, am having doubts especially after your comment as it has a little PM tuning stamp on the end can How are they for power? I'm not sure, only ever saw one like that once before, it's definately PM's way of mounting the can, so I don't know if that was an off-the-shelf or bespoke item from back in the day. I'll try to find a pic of the bike I saw the other one on. One of my all-time favourites as it happens.

Mmmmn, I'm loving that scoot Juan ;D Not sure re the pipe as the fixings look a little different the shapes bang on though and the can is definitely the same so, it could be....and that Carb does look meaty.... I know one of my old mates might have a better memory of it.
Charlie, cheers for that I'll have to give it a good think, what size carb are you using with yours?

It definitely will fit without cutting anything, the inlet tube will have to be a sharp 90 degree , but there should be more space on pk sidepanel than my 100 sport Also on my scoot I had to alter the rear shock mount for it to clear the read block. It sits like a pk shock now (eg more straight than angled) Just something to consider when all fitting it together Theres always something thats got to be changed for something else to fit aint there

Thanks Shaggy, good to know that I should be able to do it - Just wondering if a 90 degree would restrict flow though?
So, If I do go the RD route I'm guessing I'd need the MRP Reed block that you linked to RD350 reeds and a carb manifold made up with a 90 degree bend, do you know if theres any limit or minimum on the length of the carb manifold?

Hi guys, it's been a while, but, time for a thread resurrection Can't exactly remember what happened, but, life got in the way...Probably one of my other bikes blowing up and consuming all my cash Well, I've currently got all my other little projects at a point where I can't do anything until after lock down clears and have decided to get working on the boxes of bits that make the 136 My focus has changed a little and I'm just keen on getting this up and running first and foremost and then slowly collecting the parts for a future faster rebuild later on whilst enjoying the scooter I have...

I've been searching through the site and still have a few questions. Hopefully you can let me know if this would work or if the following is likely to cause me more issues or be too low a spec for the kit etc. As per the earlier photos there are a couple of scores on the sealing pad. I've now read of people using JB weld to repair these. Is this a good idea? As if so I would rather stick with rotary if possible. How good a crank do I really need? Would the following work for my needs? www.pmtuning.co.uk/mazzucchelli-race-crankshaft-vespa-pkxlI already have a PK flywheel, and the last crank seems to be large taper as far as I can tell. My clutch basket was also knackered and I've seen the following one, is this any good or am I better off sticking with 27/69 primaries as I had? www.pmtuning.co.uk/po202-1213Also would standard bearings be fine in this or should I be looking at Malossi upgraded bearings etc and the same with Standard or Viton oil seals? Things have changed a bit since I was last around Any assistance gratefully received

So, I made some progress today...gave her a clean and petrolled all the cases and parts ready to go https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Iao5HgDaJ https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Ic7hXAji- Also seems to be a bit of a bump at the back, but, seems solid enough and a fair way from the shock mount so hopefully won't be an issue. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Ic-qcgGYn I'm still trying to work out if it's worth trying a repair on the sealing pad with JB weld or potentially just another bomb waiting to go off later I've been reading through a lot on the site and am now wondering if I did reed valve direct then is it possible to run a rotary crank to save getting the cases machined to accept full circle? i I do run a rotary crank and have direct Reed induction do I need to remove the rest of the sealing pad still or can it stay? if it can stay then perhaps I leave it to give me the option of having it welded later on? If I did go direct Reed is the MPR RD350 Reed setup a lot better than the malossi one or is it minimal? My main worry is that I weigh a lot more than I did when I last rode the PK around 25 years ago So I may need to upgrade a few components to make up for that Are the new Cast Malossi kits any better than the old ones? I have a broken barrel i can practice some porting on if needed But, still just a newbie here...and trying to work out what I need on my shopping list and what isn't worth worrying about...
