Asked him for first refusal on my old yellow peril!! ;D Its not for sale I looked to run ok from what I saw, he says its struggling to get into third. Just teething problems but to be honest he's no idea when it comes to tweaking things himself. It looked a bit high on the front to me though??

Is that just the hugger doing that? Or does the floor look to be pointing upwards?

Going on the panels that's a VBB / Sportique.I hate those PX conversions where they can't be arsed to use a curved kickstart, just swap out for a T5 quadrant. I also found this at the same place.

Did VBB's / Sportiques have parrallellogramatical headlights?
Or is it just a retro fit?

VBB's and Sportiques didn't have the trapezoid headlight, a lot of Motovespas do though, although the ones that do don't have that type of side panel.
Is that a toolbox bracket just under the steering lock? If so then I think it is a Motovespa 150s with VBB panels on (should have GS160 style)

Shane I'd be thinking of loosing that paper filter mate, it wont do you any favours if it gets coated with petrol and oil.....

Hank, It's not made it out of the box yet... Still gathering bits, and info!!! Think I may need to buy a new clutch after the weekend too.......
Ad, Been runnin with that on since I got it, (replaced twice) and just clean it weekly when I clean the rest of the scoot, Know what you mean though as there is a noticeable difference if I leave it a couple of weeks and then clean it... The reason I stuck with them is that it has the flat bit on the front that stops the air/bits of road/small children/animals, being rammed directly into the carb and so gives a kind of known point for setting the carb up..... (thinking if I am going 40mph on a calm day, I am gonna have a different air/fuel mix than if I am doing 40mph into a headwind! I know I will anyway but this limits the amount of difference between the 2 scenarios)
Any advice on this and other types is always appreciated though mate??

My spesh wouldn't even run with one like yours, so i think they are fairly restrictive. foam filter or tights made it happy.

Just seen the dyno for one of these.....
Took a malossi off and just bolted one on......not properly matched or any other work. Less than a 30mm carb can't remember what but it was doing over 18 Horse (Chisel Dyno).
Not bad for bolt on-ish!!
