Cheers Shaggy for ya help and support... Daz too.. col did great.. getting better and better. Poor Woody scartching that immaculate 90ss... he is ok though. I destroyed my drt 28t primary in practise and had to go down to a 27.. this lost a fair bit of top speed .. so 3rd in race 1.. however after a bit of Norrie advice I managed to go 2 secs quicker in race 2 with a 4th place. Clutch at last is working excellent. Lets hope it continues. But I desperately need that Sip caliper on now.. could stay in touch with Charley, Guy and Doug for about 3 or 4 laps in race 2 before it cooked and I had no brake. Similar thing happened in race 1. Was a bit rusty in race 1 but got better on the left handers in race 2. I didnt do race 3 as my brain took over and am now in a hotel for two weeks solid work..I couldnt risk injury.. A really good day...

What a days racing Im still buzzing the day after.I can certainly see the attraction and how it hooks people, just wish I was 25 years younger and a lot lighter ha ha. Met John in the pits after his off in practice and had a good chat later in the day, what a great guy pleasure to meet you all the groundhogs said so too. What two great results for Tony outstanding and great to meet you and see the green hornet in the flesh amazing that you got the scooter back together in the time to race. Pleasure to meet Col again well done mate you were getting more and more confident in each race and we watched you from three different areas of the track. Nice to meet shaggy and I think it was daz . That first corner in race three was mental. I will post some pictures when I get a minute, still suffering from the saturday afternoon/night drinking session with the groundhogs, who all had a great time in the pits and watching the racing.

Morning Guys
First meeting I have attended this year due to our mate "Mr disposable income."
Cracking day, you are right Mr Iggy I also leave those meetings with a real buzz as you get to meet to really nice guys off the forum, both Tony and John are very welcoming even when they are up against it in the pits they still make time for you. Same as the forum everyone is giving good advice and up for a laugh and not taking things too seriously.
Nice to meet you Col, top northern genuine lad and Mr Shaggy I am worried for you sir when taking left hand corners on the Orange Vespa 100. Iggy sorry did not get to meet you sir, If you were the lad in the black barbour jacket I will take that off you sir = very nice piece of clobber.
Look forward to seeing you guys again at another meeting.
Daz a bit loved up this morning.

Tony , really appreciate some info youve givven me on stuff like brakes and hub alignment. Col , there is a definite improvement in riding style and cornering. Excellent stuff Norrie lecturing Tony was quite amusing ;D My scoot decided it didnt want to work when we were leaving Donny kicking it over and over with half seconds of life...Suddenly it sprang to life...phew There is a deffinite problem tho a couple of miles from home there was a loud grinding sound, not sure whether it was my flywheel touching the cowl or it was internal. Daz ive leant over quite far on a few corners, no scraping so far....Im obviously not leaning far enough ;D

massive massive thanks to the members of this forum...... EVERY SINGLE lad ive meet from this forum has been a star..... Igg, Shaggy, Daz, many thanks for the encouragement yesterday... a race day is a strange day, you spend all day hanging around for a couple of short blasts around the track, but one minute its 3.00am your alarm clock is going off to say get up and set off, the next thing its 11.30 pm your back home and your absolutely wired everything inbetween those times is a bit of a blur............ i did alright, still slower than the main pack by some way, but less nerve wracking as each meeting goes by.... Shaggy was very helpfull indeed (cheers mate) Igg was with his club ( the Durham "formation drinking team" groundhogs) all hungover good styleee... ;D and Daz made more sense than anyone else all day, by a long way......... knowing youve got someone watching out for you and cheering you on, is a massive boost....... the highlight of the day was Legend Norrie Kerr coming over shaking me by the hand and saying good luck in the race, he then went on to lecture (bollock ) Tony in a nice way re the previous race... Norrie had some ace stories to tell from back in the day. could have sat and listened all day....... quite a lot of crashers and blow ups, but i did alright i finished 23rd out of 36 starters in one race.... i know im not on a smallie yet, but my lucky forum t- shirt under my leathers is the key........ i think im one of about 4 or 5 riders out of 50 to start and finish all 10 races so far.... its very tortoise and the hare at the minute for me, but by the time the fabrizi is ready to race i hope to be a bit more aware of the tracks....... Woodsie and Tony`s FALC`S sounded awesome as i shot past them each time.... ( not...........!!!! ) thanks again for all the support it means TONS TO ME............ Cheers Col

Anyway... Col... you are doing great fella. Better and better each time... now get that frame sorted pronto!
