First Clue, Poured a little petrol in engine, no good, added a bit more still same. Took spark plug out and tested ok. Got meter (never used one before) and set to ohms(horseshoe shaped symbol?). Every reading was the same white-red, white-green and even red-green. Moved rotary switch onside of meter that seem to increase sensitivity, still same results. Could the DCI be crackered.

I have the same thing happening to me. How does the fuel line get air in it, can it happen when you run out of fuel, and fill up again?!?
I'm going for new CDI, and check the fuel line.

Scoots been at menders for 3 weeks now, last I heard the electrics were crackered and was trying to get replacement parts. He reckoned he couldn't get a spark at all, but I could see and hear the sparks, may be they weren't strong enough or summat. I'll give him a ring tomorrow and post if I get an update.
