i dont think i'll ever get the number one plate. And tbh I'm not bothered about the overall championship. Its the group thing for me and of course beating every lambretta on the track if possible.

Col brilliant close up picture of Sarges malossi mate wow ... When he stopped racing glen Payne used it a few times for sprinting and so did soooosh .. It was after its racing days that sarge gave it a new coat of white paint and had 'The Wolf ' on the panels as it was a wolf in sheeps clothing ....Very fast i thing it holds the fastest sprint record ( on a vespa) at York Raceway ....! ! ! It beat every vespa and most lambrettas ...

Hello Everyone, I´m new to this forum, found it while looking for pics of old race scooters. I have a question i hope one of you can help me with. On most of the old race bikes there seems to be mounted the same type of racing seat. Is this an adapted bike seat or was it a specially made seat for the smallframes? If it was a bike part, could one give me a hint on which modell and year i should focus my search? Or else if there is still source for the seat Thanks i found these old pics i took

I could be wrong but I think they were based around the old Yamaha TZ units. If memory serves then I think they were available through Lintek back then.

The scoot pictured in the link below is my 50 special in its old guise before it was sprayed silver. I bought the scoot of Ash's mate Jase. Perhaps Ash knows where Jase got his from. Thanks alot, thats some useful information.
I already found some seats for old Yamaha TZs that look as if they could be reworked to fit on a smallframe.
Seat is for a "race themed" road scooter.

Seeing those old shots of Sarge and the Rally "the wolf,it eats Lambs" reminds me of the grasstrack racing days of the early 90`s.He would call us a few days before we were to hold a grasstrack meeting on the outskirts of Oxford to say we had very little cones to layout a circuit. He got us to either listen to the local radio station to hear where the roadworks are or just drive about and find them. Then we would go out about midnight and grab enough to build the circuit. They were the days ;D ;D
