Hi everyone.
Quick question about voltage output... I’ve installed the motor back in my frame, starts and idles nicely. Just for interest sake I thought I’d check what the voltage output is (tail-light, head-light, speedo and horn to still be installed).
What should the voltage output be? I’m under the impression that the bulbs all act as the voltage regulator, so I was expecting to have some sort of output, but I’ve got nothing...
Thanks in advance
Jason

It would be helpful if you could tell us what year and model of smallframe you have.

Hi Everyone.
Thought I’d just reply to my own query (for what it’s worth...).
My snag was that I was trying to measure the voltage with my multimeter set to DC...
My bike is up and running beautifully. All lights working like a charm. First time I’ve set the timing with a timing light - what a difference. Starts first kick absolutely every time. As an aside, I haven’t got the speedo light in, was expecting to blow a bulb or two (was under the impression that ALL the bulbs had to be in or bulbs would start blowing). So far so good, no blown bulbs...
Thanks all...
