Hi Everyone
Quick question regarding the air below that fits over the carb intake manifold: What does it actually do? How important is this bellows?
The reason I ask is because I can’t get the one I bought to fit properly - once it’s on so that the carb clamp can fit, it’s too far back and I can’t get the lip to pass through the frame opening (possibly a bad reproduction).
What’s the consensus - buy another or leave it off?
Thanks in advance.
Jason

Buy a universal CV boot from a motor factor and cut to fit

It keeps water, dust and crap from getting into body of the scoot, very useful. They can be difficult to fit. I disconnect the rear shock to get the engine as high up as p[ossible.

Buy a universal CV boot from a motor factor and cut to fit Plus one for this. I got a citroen one off ebay, dead easy to modify to fit, especially if like me you enlarged the wrong bit of the hole in the frame when fitting a 24mm manifold and the hole ended up being twice as big as it needed to be...
