i needed a speedo for the pk , but with pk chassis an et4 forks an super headset with primmy shape speedo a normal one was tricky . so i started with this ,broken old speedo an cheap halfords pushbike one . speedo 001 by henri briggs, on Flickr . check for fit in body ,an roughly mark face n glass . speedo 002 by henri briggs, on Flickr speedo 003 by henri briggs, on Flickr quick rough out with engraving tool . speedo 005 by henri briggs, on Flickr . stuck together with blobs of super glue , not going to roll rim over as its battery operated an needs to come out occasionally . speedo 006 by henri briggs, on Flickr . fitted , rough but functional . speedo 007 by henri briggs, on Flickr speedo 008 by henri briggs, on Flickr . jb weld for magnet/trigger , an cable ties for sensor . VID-20190618-00015 by henri briggs, on Flickr . wife spinning the wheel ,got 6.4mph , i got 9mph but lost some knuckle skin on muddy . by time battery dies the components for a regulated 1.5volt supply will have turned up an i can hard wire it into 12v battery an tidy up the job . total cost bout 15 quid an half an hour . if you need to calibrate the speedo it`s 1260 wheel revs to the mile if that helps
