on a smallie?
if its a standard carb, i always found that they need an air filter to get the carb to work. its as if it was a designed in part of the carb

Keep going larger until it's too rich and then back down until it's not.

Thanks or your replies, Because its been a bit of a plug and play regarding the carb and manifold ive gone up o a 109 main on the 19/19 carb with the 20/20 manifold !!! I want to come down on the manifold size (as mentioned in the nifty thread) and of course now using a malossi air filter.. Yeah steve your correct on saying some machines wont run without the filter but ours does/did when we removed it during the endurance but wanted to know how mant sizes would you roughly go up when removing it ?? Thanks

i would have said 10, but you might need a slide with a cutout that richens up the mid range, im sure there are different slides for the 19/19 depending on whether its a prim of pk carb, not sure if they are interchangeable
