OK so I'm gonna swap the outer front brake cable on my 74 primavera. I know the double length cable thing, but what other tricks do I need? Does the throttle tube need to come out? Speedo? Pull new one in from bottom or from top? I assume the headset can stay on, right?
Share up your tips. Thanks.

feed a gear cable iner up from the bottm. then slide a new outer down using the gear cable as a guide
tie a cable tie around the new outer at the top end to stop the little nut dropping down the cable
easy job and put loads of grease on the new inner as you feed it in to the outer
