I've no real desire to own another Vespa at the moment - I've spent enough on my V90. The exception to this rule is a Rally 180. In yellow, very specifically. I saw a couple at a rally about 6 years ago and have been obsessed with owning one ever since. However, they seem to be like hen's teeth and on eBay go for £6k+ easily. Any thoughts on where I might find one for a better price? Any idea how many there are left?

That's a 200 for a start, the 180's never had stripes. I'd also say the 200 is a slightly more practical machine regards spares etc. but it's not impossible to source 180 stuff.
No ideas on numbers but they're sought after machines and the price reflects it.

That may be horses**t So let me clarify... I dream of owning any Vespa Rally in yellow! So if you could all keep your eyes out for any spectacular barn finds please

Can't remember seeing one in yellow right enough but that doesn't mean we didn't get them so who knows? UK climate wasn't kind on them seeing as they came from the time the steel used in the Italian Automotive industry was probably at its worst. But if I see something I'll let you know.

I've just found a link with 2 original UK 200's in yellow so looks like you did get them. vesparally200.tumblr.com/Your best bet would be to look for a rough / project bike and paint it the colour you want rather than waiting in the hope of the exact right one turning up.

I had a Rally 200, it was OK, nothing special. It did 65mph, same as a P2...
