the solution is i believe ,limescale remover 50-50 with clean water , an i thought that about the velcro too .an gav 1 of his other vids is a soda blaster for cleaning outside carbs .tin can,length of copper tube ,an a tyre as air supply . back street engineering/bodgery at its best .H

yep ,phosphoric acid in limescale remover/coke ,an acetic acid in vinegar , in theory i guess citric acid from lemons/fruit juices would do .even old battery acid in a 2% solution would work ,wouldnt want to go stronger than that ,have been shown a last ditch trick for carbs .strip all rubber/nylon parts an dunk in battery acid for 20 seconds then rinse under tap for 5 mins ,never tried it personally .H

Be interesting to see how the solution would have worked without the agitation as a comparison, but that looks pretty effective for sure.
